As a christian the thing I find most frusterating is that people see Christians as people who cant have fun or are prude...not so....There are limits to my "fun" but non the less, i still have fun and share in a good joke like the rest....I dont sit home with my nun garb on and not live in a world full of sinnful things...the point is we may live IN this world, but we are not to be conformed To this world...

What's the fun in dating if you can't let the devil out every so often.

Hi everyone I am new to this site, but I think one reason Christians have problems hooking up with fellow Christians, maybe we just expect to much from our brothers and sisters, when we become Christians we must remember that we are still not perfect and that the old nature to sin is still with us,it is because of man kinds imperfection's that Christ died on the cross, lets try to be a little more forgiving to one another,we are all sometimes weak in our faith to the lord, that is also why we have repentance, what I am trying to say is just to cut each other a little slack, none of us are perfect.

They say there looking for a Christian women they are a Nice Guy. And then you email and hear nothing back. Is that because there not really what they say they are :)

Cuz, let's face it, you guys are kinda weird. I had a woman ask me what type of Xian I was. I said excuse me? She said she wanted to know what church I go to, as I was the most Xian man she had ever met. I told that since I am not Xian, I was highly offended by her comments.

I prefer to be called 'peculiar'(and proud of it)! 1 Peter 2:9 (King James Version) 9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; |

"Peculiar", it does have a nice ring to it doesn't it? |

I guess it depends on the age group. I know for my age of 26 people my age simply dont go to church unless they are extremly faithful and take it seriously.
Im one of the youth leaders at my church and I have to say there is no one my age that goes with the excption of the already married (2 Couples) or engaged (1 couple). I also occassionally go to the Youth Leader meetings and all of them are mid 30's with the exception of one other guy and they are all married men. I think its the lack of places to go and meet new people. I dont go out to bars or clubs. Ive tried meeting people online and last year I met a girl on Myspace, she was a Christian, though struggling (though arent we all in some way), we had a brief non-labeled relationship that pretty much ended in June. We continue to lift each other up as friends and help each other In our relationship with God, but none of her friends are Christian and she herself doesnt know any even off handedly. But Ive said all that to say Ive still looked online, thats why Im here. Its hard to find someone thats serious about their beliefs and thats also compatible with you. I'll be honest Im also not one that believes in a right one just appearing when your ready, I think you have to do some work and look, course im not saying it cant happen (Because I sure do pray for it). But for me im in no position to find anyone unless someone new just happens to come to church one day. But it is very hard to meet someone. But I also dont want just anyone. I want the one I can spend the rest of my life with. Its something ive prayed for daily in the past month or so. The only answer I keep getting for any of my prayers lately is September, which I kinda understand cause I'll be back in NY around that time. Anyway Im being long winded again. |

It's easy to explain by means of smaller social groups (IE less options). Since you're looking for a fellow Christian, this lowers the possible amount of people you could be with. There's another circle inside that one which is your potential match sharing your religious views of Christianity, so the amount gets smaller still.
After the religious stuff is taken care of, you still have to find someone you click with that happens to be somewhere you are. It makes it all rather difficult, since, as said before, we have a lack of places for meeting people due to the fact that we're probably not going to pick someone up at a bar/club. |

I think so! WHat I have problems with is this, Why do Christian people, when they write about being Christian, leave out "Christ" in their writing? IE...Xian....Xmas??? I have never known Christ as Mr.X. |

Ahh That is what Xian is? I thought it was some New Age Religion I had not heard of! LOL! That's like being a "an" or "oman". just doesn't make sense without the first letter!
