can someone PLEASE answer me the question i keep posting???? I'm trying to understand things (with a fried brain lol) let's assume evolution is correct....what started the whole thing DNA or some kind of micro programing in everything. but where did the first of first things come from to make everything Look up Abiogenesis. That will give you an idea what the premise of Evolutionary Theory is. |

Theory the operative word.....God no theory, Christ no theory, the Bible no theory.....hmmmmmmmmmmm nuff said. Actually, Since God's existence cannot be proven, God is very much a theory. Since many of the Gods from the Mediterranean region from 1000 year before Christ have very similar(if not exactly the same) stories as Jesus. Combined with the fact that Jesus himself cannot be accurately placed in History, Jesus is also a theory. The only thing about the bible that is not theory is that it was written by man. Not to mention the fact that Christianity has a history of being wrong... ("The Earth is Flat" "The Sun/planets revolve around the Earth"....) |

It's always the same....can't prove and then get personal....it's old and weak...try again |

It's always the same....can't prove and then get personal....it's old and weak...try again not getting personal. It has been shown to you over and over again and you still do not understand it. Thats just how it is. So, it seems easer for you to just think an invisible wizard that lives in the sky did it. ok. But I am a bit tierd of showing you the same proof again and again and you still refusing or are just unable to understand it. And then you ask the same questions again. |

When I see evidence to make me say hmmmmmmmmm then I will let you know...but so far videos and all is crapola...sorry but that's the way it is... |

You know why your wrong and it's not a theory.....Because God shows people everyday of his existence....and just because your eyes and ears are closed....well that is who's fault...And there is so much history....there has never been any denying that Christ existed......and as far as history.....tons, artifacts....tons.... Again your only defense is that the Bible is written by man......well pick it up and read it sometime....every one of those men....and they were educated men....says that it was God that inspired them......so try again. Various cultures have had conceptions of a flat Earth, including ancient Babylon, Egypt, pre-Classical Greece and pre-17th century China. So not just ancient Christian people....... |

Theory the operative word......God no theory, Christ no theory, the Bible no theory.....hmmmmmmmmmmm nuff said. You're absolutely correct. There is no workable theory that suggests the existence of a God. There is also no substantial theory that supports that 'Christ' ever even existed. On the contrary the evidence is overwelming that he most likely either never existed at all, or that if some guy did exist and preach something it was completely forgotten about for at least a minimum of almost 50 years, and then conflicting rumors were recorded by a very FEW individuals who apparently where working from each other's fabrications. The Bible? Theory? Again no. It's not based on theory at all. The best evidence has it that it was a very selected collection of stories that were rooted through to remove or edit out specific references to things like reincarnation, and multiple heavens and hells. The bulk of the New Testament is basically the ramblings of one man named Paul who was an extreme misogynist. Surely you don't believe that Paul speaks for God? Moreover, being a woman, if you do believe that Paul speaks for God then why would you be happy about that? Surely you don't think that God would change his misogynistic views in his heaven? If God demands that women are second class citizens on Earth then surely he's not go to give them equality in heaven. Personally I'm glad that there's not a single shred of proof nor even credible evidence to back up these men who wrote the Bible. I'm glad that there is no reasonable theory that even supports it. I would truly be utterly disappointed to think that our creator is that screwed up. And I'm not even a woman! I've always said that in the 60's when women were burning their bras to protest for equal rights they really should have been burning their Bibles! But it was more fun watching them burn their bras to be truthful about it. |

You know why your wrong and it's not a theory.....Because God shows people everyday of his existence....and just because your eyes and ears are closed....well that is who's fault...And there is so much history....there has never been any denying that Christ existed......and as far as history.....tons, artifacts....tons.... 1. "Tons" of artifacts? where are they? 2. People cannot accurately place Jesus in history. Most people belief he lived between 0 and 33 AD, but there are also many that feel he was "lived" about 100 years earlier. Again your only defense is that the Bible is written by man......well pick it up and read it sometime....every one of those men....and they were educated men....says that it was God that inspired them......so try again.
As I have stated on here several times before,(but hey, it's not like you read anything that contradicts you little view of the world) I was raised as a child of Christian parents, so as I have read the bible. Also, "inspired" by God does not equal written by god. Various cultures have had conceptions of a flat Earth, including ancient Babylon, Egypt, pre-Classical Greece and pre-17th century China.
So not just ancient Christian people....... We aren't talking about ancient Christians. We are talking about 16th Century Christians. |

There are religions that I like (christianity not being one of them) That would be nice if one them were true. But just because I would like them to be true does not mean that they are. |

I would certainly agree with these romantic things you find written about "God". The thing I'd say is that these little romantic snipits sure don't look like their speaking about the Biblical God. Anyone can say nice things about 'God'. But does the Bible agree with those things? Hardly. At least not in it's overall big pictures. It has God chomping at the bit to cast people into hell. Don't forget the Bible claims that God lost the entire Egyptian culture. Clearly he wasn't much of a fatherly figure to them. Some thing goes with the Canaanites and many other cultures that the biblical God clearly turned his back on. In fact, doesn't it seem strange to you that this God just coincidentally tended to like the people who made him up in spite of the fact that they seemed to be contstantly rejecting him too? The Biblical God truly must qualify for the "Most Rejected God" in all of history. In fact, the Bible claims that God loses the vast majority of souls to the fallen angel that he can't control. The bible has him flushing all of humanity down the toilet at one point save for a few people on a floating zoo which clearly doesn't line up with what we know about the world. Even later Jesus himself said that very few will make it into the kingdom of God. In fact, doesn't the Bible even claim that there will be some who claim to know him but he will renounce them? I'm sure I read that somewhere in there. So again even the Bible itself confirms that Satan wins the vast majority of souls that God creates. The authors of the Bible trying to drive FEAR into the masses inadvertently have Satan winning all the souls! Besides, if God truly has a "Kindness greater than we can imagine" as you have posted in your little snipet, then none of us should worry unless we know that we are REALLY BAD! If you're a good person then surely God would be good to you. How could God treat someone meaning that they have ever treated anyone else in their entire life? If God is as Kind and Wise as you claim that all GOOD PEOPLE must necessarily be AUTOMATICALLY SAVED just based on their good nature. ANYTHING LESS that that and God would NOT be "kinder than we can imagine". So if you truly believe that God is this kind and wise then religion CAN'T MATTER! What you believe is totally irrelavent. A kind God can't be MEAN to NICE people just because they didn't believe in Paul! And let's face it, the New Testament is about 99% opinions of PAUL and about 1% confusing hearsay about Jesus! Can a person reject Paul and accept Jesus? How so? To reject Paul is to deny that the Bible is the 'word of God'. It's an all or nothing proposition! You necessarily MUST ACCEPT PAUL if you accept Jesus! To just pick and choose at your whim only suggests that you don't really believe any of it. |

very well put. I am an agnostic realy. I do not see any evidence for a god what so ever. There are religions that I like (christianity not being one of them) That would be nice if one them were true. But just because I would like them to be true does not mean that they are. Well not only that, but if our creator is truly kind and benevolent like people like to claim, he/she/it would not be making threats to cast eveyone into hell who doesn't believe in a very disturbing doctrine. Even the hearsay that is actually in the gospels of the Bible has Jesus denouncing the ways of the God of Abraham! That's quite conflicting right there. Even if the Bible were true, it would be an extremely confusing mixed message and would imply that God is unstable and untrustworthy at BEST! If there really was an intelligent 'all-wise' supreme being that wanted to inspire men to write a book I'm TOTALLY CONFIDENT that it could have, and would have, done a MUCH BETTER JOB than what we see written by the Isrealites. In fact, I'd be far more willing to believe that Buddha's teachings were more likely inspired by God than the Bible. At least those teachings truly do reflect the idea of a genuinely wise and intelligent God. Like you, I too am agnostic. Which is simply a confession that I don't know. In fact, even the authors of the Bible demanded that 'faith' is the only way! So in other words, even the authors of the Bible demand that we "can't know"! So if we are HONEST with God we MUST CONFESS that we are ALL AGNOSTIC! Anything less would require that we LIE to God! Surely God wouldn't DEMAND that we all become LIARS? When I say that I don't know whether there is more to life than what meets the eye all I'm doing is telling the TRUTH. So Christians are trying to tell me that TRUTH isn't good enough for God? Does that even make any sense at all? |
