justify price gouging/over pricing?

Not sure about other areas, but here in Alabama...gouging/over pricing is considered to be when the price is 25% or more over the original(normal)price, during a catastrophe/disaster situation.

Nothing, but the rationalization is supply and demand....

the law of supply and demand.

a few years ago a main in tucson burst and the gas went up over a weekend to over 4bux a gallon as certain stations around the state gouged.

we all were infuriated..

but i noticed something...

people were car pooling. people were using alternative modes of transportation.. people.. were changing.

and then the law stepped in and people went back to driving their freakin expeditions all by themselves.

lol people are funny aren't they?
