Topic: A few extra pounds | |
---|---|
To me, a few extra pounds, which is my selection, means that I weigh 190, when I should weigh maybe 170 or so. I think most americans are in that catagory from what I have seen and read. Dennis I am 5' 8" and weigh 200lbs. My doc says I should weigh around 165. My build is naturally stocky. According to the doc, I am " obese ". According to me, I carry a ' few extra pounds ', but I carry them well. People can pretty much see how I am built by looking at my profile pics. but i say "a few extra pounds" my doc says "obese" my bf says "perfect" im a size 18 in womens.. (still in the misses sizes in most stores.. ) and i wear a tall.. (not easy to find!!) im "overweight" but really should it matter THAT much?!?!?! i guess im lucky that i found someone who doesnt think so. |

What are guys really thinking when they read 'a few extra pounds?' Do they think that she has an extra 5-10 or an extra 30-50? Do they think curvy or fat? Just curious
It doesnt mean anything but "im not thin"! above that your guess is as good as mine.....lol |

"I'm not fat.....I'm FLUFFY!!!!!" But since Mike and Van didn't give us "fluffy" as an option, I chose to leave that without an answer. Why??? Because even though I am considered obese, I feel good about the person I am and I try not to use negatives about myself and those I care about. I have never tried to lie about my size or weight on here, and once when I told a man here that he probably would never give me a second look if we met in person. I got chewed out right on that thread and he is now a very dear friend (because I found someone right after that) and I would love to go to Cape Cod to meet him one day. If you want to check out what someone looks like, look at their pictures----when they have more than one up so you can tell it is recent---then decide if they are in the weight range you are looking for. Just my $.02 |
