LOL about a hundred times picketing places that were not accessible for the disabled. Helped write, lobby, and get voted in the American With Disability's Act and new builders of PUBLIC buildings just thumb their nose at the law. Not a lot different now days and it has been on the books for 25+ years. So when someone trys to tell you they are making reasonable accomodations don't buy it. Adapt advocates people don't push it when property owners try to co-operate. The guys you see fileing multiple lawsuits are doing it other people's behalf.

Almost...and the hilarious thing is that it was from the local Senior Center. A colleque and I were participating in an energy-wise day at this place and the old guys (we are talking walkers and oxygen packs) kept coming up and flirting. Or course we flirted back - I mean, how could we not? Pretty soon we got word that the elderly ladies near us 'couldn't hear the speakers' and we got moved to the other end of the hall - right NEXT to the exit and AWAY from their 'men-folk'...
