So what would be correct, to measure the level of pigmentation is everyone's skin and then create a color spectrum to label ourselves with? . . . lol idiocy. So I guess your taupe white with a sprig of lavender OMG!!!!!!! the COLOR of his skin does not matter to me!!! thats why i find it idiotic that people use this as a selling point.......or an attacking point. look how many times people have been called racist in this thread for just noting that they werent entirly confident about obama. not due to his color but his person. his experience. his campaign. but that being said...i will respect the man. because he is my president. not because of his color.

People like you seem bothered by his skin color! If you were black, after slavery, all the mistreatment, and a history as a second-class citizen of this country for so long. Wouldn't you make a big deal about today? Wouldnt you be proud and happy? Give it a rest. Get over it, he's black! Washington does seem to be united more than it has in a long time. I think we'll see a lot of bipartisan cooperation in the near future. Partially I think its the man. Obama does appear to be reaching out to both sides and partially I think it's the times. We have serious enough problems facing us that they can only be solved through cooperation and bipartisan compromise

sheeple voted for this guy BECAUSE of his color. Why else would an otherwise proud American vote for a Marxist Muslim ? They were so taken with his being a black guy that they failed to see what his politics are. I'm white and I voted for him.

Bush Senior won a bigger majority on the coatails of Reagan. The country isn't any more united now than it was 2, 4, or 8 years ago. The country still has roughly equal numbers of conservatives and liberals, along with a bunch of centrists, and even a bunch of people without political awareness/interest. Right now there is a great deal of hope for improvements, and there might even be a few. However, Obama has radical leftist tendencies, and those will result in a harmful shift towards the left by the US government. Overall this presidency is going to be worse than it would have been with a better choice. Then again, John "the centrist" McCain wasn't much better than Obama, and now that Obama has endorsed the Bush policy in Iraq, there isn't much difference between the two candidates.

SINCE WHEN. i'm truely SICK of hearing how great a moment this is for black people.he's not really black. shouldn't it be a great moment for all people? (although i think he's going to suck mud) IF this is such a uniting moment for people what does that say? i cann't without sounding totally racist(i'm not a racists but damn the truth that's right in front of our faces but we won't dare addmitt it) i've never seen a mexican american.african american,or anything other than an american. if your born in america aren't you just an american? If its not a problem for you then why are you bringing it up? Maybe you do not know history well enough to realize that this country has never had a black president

maybe when you look at him...u see a black man. and maybe some people are bothered by this. i will state thjat he won by majority...and so many americans are NOT bothered by this fact. so i ask why, why o why cant we all just be americans? why is his color so important??? will it also enable people to not give a psht when his campaign promises become hollow?? i mean lets talk in a year when our troops are still in the middeast. etc etc etc... Some people care about the issues and what happens to the US.......not what color some man's skin is. Congrats to the people that are so impressed with Obamas presidency. Yepp we do have a BLACK president. i just dont see the hoopla. but then I dont get impressed easily. i find it utterly disgusting when people continully play the race card. and i dont now if society or the media is to blame.
