SINCE WHEN.
i'm truely SICK of hearing how great a moment this is for black people.he's not really black. shouldn't it be a great moment for all people?
(although i think he's going to suck mud)

IF this is such a uniting moment for people what does that say?
i cann't without sounding totally racist(i'm not a racists but damn the truth that's right in front of our faces but we won't dare addmitt it)

i've never seen a mexican american.african american,or anything other than an american.
if your born in america aren't you just an american?

sheeple voted for this guy BECAUSE of his color. Why else would an otherwise proud American vote for a Marxist Muslim ? They were so taken with his being a black guy that they failed to see what his politics are.

I had a bad feeling about the man when he was running for office. Which had absolutely nothing to do with the man's race. Now I find out millions of dollars are being spent on his inaugration celebration. And this after he made such a point of how he was going to help bring about 'change' and how he was going to help fix the economy and create millions of jobs. Everytime he gave a number on the jobs it went up. The money being spent today just furthers the already bad feeling I had about him.
Is the man even American born to begin with? Last I heard a copy of birth certificate couldn't be obtained and his birth place was in question.

I have no problem with anyone of any race. After all if you took away our covering we are all the same underneath.
My problem lies however with manipulations, lies and your mouth writing checks your A** cant cash.
I tend to be leary of someone who has all the right things to say and smiles alittle too much. But charasmatic wins out everytime.
Like cattle to slaughter- look at Hitler
I believe we are in for "change"...however the entire nation and most likely the world could very possibly end up paying for a majority of ppl
who think they are righting past injustices.
These people were mesmerized by the prospect of
his promises and neglected to dig into the reality of "the man" behind the mask and unfortunately have set themselves up to be disillusuioned in the end. Too much power to one person is always a dangerous thing.

My point of view is that the ones who voted for this "man" will be sorry before it is over.
I would choose eithics over experience any day.

But we have quietly stood by and taken the handouts while our freedoms were slowly stuffed away in a closet somewhere and now even more "change" is inevidable....I do hope I am wrong and he looks out for everyone. I pray he is a man of honor but the record speaks for itself..

My belief is he will start out strong to gain everyones trust and things will be good for awhile. Then when were all fat and happy- pow.

This country and the world has lost its way...its prophesied and is happening according to that prophecy... we all need to be prepared.

but i will watch the 'show' and see if any subatance can be found in President Obama over the following week. months. beyond the glitter and campaign promises....

and i will also pray that Americans unite.
He is soon to be our new commander in chief.......and he deserves that respect. not because hes black/WHITE..

Fear and opposition to change. People with little imagination and no foresight of things possible.
PARANOIA of what they do not know!

That's what I see on this thread..
A Minority!

Here I thought all these things had already been thoroughly debunked during the campaign.

change for the sake of change gets us nowhere, you need a better argument to condemn anyone on this thread....

I would say that voting for a man simply because of his color would qualify as lack of imagination, there are too many idiots in this country to say that is not why a good many voted for him.....

he may yet prove a good choice, but like many others he may yet prove poorly

only time will show his true capacity...he will maintain the respect of commander and chief until then

Fanta, long time no argue with my dear! Are you saying that I condemn myself for expressing my misgivings about our president-elect?
No one has answered my question about the birth certificate. I know this was a big whoopdeedoo during the elections and I was merely asking an honest question. Is there somewhere a website that one can go to in order to see this document?
I don't see how expressing my misgivings and wanting him to prove himself is condemning me. I simply refuse to follow along with everyone else and jump on the 'change' bandwagon without good enough just cause.
And I'm more than alil upset about all the money being spent celebrating swearing the man in when there are people in our country really hurting financially right now and that seemed to be such a big concern of his during his campaign. Oh, and I have nothing but the upmost respect for the office that he was elected into.

afro picks and a purple oval office don't bother me at all...

what bothers me is that the same people who asked for this change will be the first to back away with their tails between their legs when something other than discord might actually be asked of them

We all came out of Africa 100K-150K years ago.

Education people! Its a good thing. I really wish origin of birth and color of skin would get relegated back to the fashion of the day as far as facets of a person's personality its silly. Express a single gene multiple times and I become black . . . 1 gene.

Oh well said, I see it already. Some of the bandwagoneers are already bracing for impact, it makes me laugh. Part of the problem is expectations, too many people think he can single handedly change the world . . . silly.

People like you seem bothered by his skin color!
If you were black, after slavery, all the mistreatment, and a history as a second-class citizen of this country for so long.
Wouldn't you make a big deal about today?
Wouldnt you be proud and happy?

Give it a rest. Get over it, he's black!
Let them have their day!

Rock on Obama!!!!

So what would be correct, to measure the level of pigmentation is everyone's skin and then create a color spectrum to label ourselves with? . . . lol idiocy.

So I guess your taupe white with a sprig of Coriander OMG!!!!!!!

Trust me, none of us are all that different.
