I never saw the marriage in the first place. We are as divided as ever. It's just more known about now with the communications we have now. Yes, but back then, when there weren't too many of these commie types, their needs were easily taken care of by the producing majority. Now they have grown in numbers, to the point that not only it is very hard to take care of them, but being also a majority, they have stopped asking for help. They just vote for it these days, and send the government man with a gun to take it. |

I know there are people who take advantage and there always will be, but frankly the rich take far more than the poor ever will and I don't see you guys focusing on them to any real degree. I am done for with this topic, I need to go to sleep with something positive on my mind.. |

Whoever wrote this must hate the United States. No they just hate the majority of people that live in the united states.. Unfortunately, that just might be the majority by now. Divorce is very much needed, just like the time when Americans needed the divorce from the Queen. |

After 8 years of ruining the country, or, let's say, not helping anyone, including themselves, the Republicans, who claim to be Christians, still have no conscience, compassion, or common sense. I for one welcome a New Day in America and the world. The dynasties of the upper class, who will still be flexing their muscle, I'm sure, had better watch out. |

I am done for with this topic, I need to go to sleep with something positive on my mind.. You can't have a one-way street. Those who are wealthy because / and they abuse the system, are doing this through very same mechanism that exists to allow the poor to abuse others. Plus, the ones that are more successful at this, are way smarter and a lot less lazy than poor. So, what I am saying is that unless you personally are going to control who is getting what, any tiny little hole that you poke in the justice in order to feed some poor, will be used by many others to the point that the results will always outweigh your initial goals. The way to control it all is a dictature. Is that what you want? You can be as disappointed with people as you wish, but remember, those abusing the current system have a good justification for their actions. Since there is no justice (it was moved to the rear, to make way for equality), then there is nothing wrong with raping the unjust. |

If a person don't like the United States then they should move to somewhere else. So using your logic, you're suggesting those who dont't like the current US healthcare system should move to Canada or Cuba for "free"... well, socialized care. Good call there Mirror. I'd like to sue Logan1976 for his "BTW LynnAnn loosen that corset girl its cuttin' off the blood flow to your brain" comment. Injuries to my nasal cavity sustained when water was forcibly ejected through it due to laughter (no warning label provided/present). To quote Larry the Cable Guy "I don't care who ya are, that's funny". |

The person who sent that piece to a newspaper in should be ashamed as should be the editors of the paper! It's a bad rewrite of an old piece borrowing heavily from a piece that has been circulating for at least thirty years. A stolen piece that is asinine, badly re-written, small minded and only marginally entertaining. |

Temp you are correct there.
Don't expect any of the simpletons (you know who you are) posting here to understand the complexity of the problem though. For them every issue devolves into a black and white knee jerking name calling idiot fest. Same post...different day. |
|

Well LynnAnn good thing you would never stoop so low and do any "name calling". I hope you were calling me a simpleton. I will take that as a complement. Uneducated as I might be I am an AMERICAN. And I am prepared to defend my country from enemies both foriegn and domestic. And possibly from its own government. God forbid it ever come to that.

BEEMAN. You are a great AMERICAN!

I DONT THINK THE BOMB THING IS COOL. JUST GIVE THEM THERE OWN COUNTRY INSTEAD OF MINE TO DESTROY |

I did not address my post to anyone nor did I personally insult anyone. Something some do here on a regular basis.
However...if you feel the shoe fits... School yard insults and name calling directed to a specific poster are against the forum rules. Rules that are not uniformly enforced it seems. Unlike others on these boards I do not make liberal use of the report button. Being insulted by some on these boards is almost a point of pride for me. So keep slinging childish insults...I think it's swell. |

Boo2u. I was in that boat. I jumped out swam to dry land, busted my tail and made better life for myself. Its called self reliance. Those who do not have health insurance receive health care free of charge here in Texas. National health care will only have a negative effect on the quality of the product. People keep referring to Canadian health care. None of them seem to know how good/bad said health care is. Americans actually have a hihger quality of healthcare. Falling back on the government should be a last resort. A safety net if you will.

LynnAnn I apologize. Clearly I have offended you. That was not my intent. You chose your words carefully. A lawyer perhaps or did you learn from master Clinton. Veiled insults and threats seem to be your forte. Please make use of the "report button" and end my suffering. What are they gonna do take my birthday party away?

What you fail to realize is we already pay for the uninsured at a much higher price. All you have to do is look at our ERs. We dont turn people away for not being able to pay. We treat them. These costs are passed on in higher costs and insurance premiums. Do you not see that? Do you not realize why we cant control health care costs. We have become a country of high cost treatments for low cost ailments. Who do you think pays now? Yes, but it should be cured by removing free services, not by piling up a more complicated structure on top of what we already have. Two wrongs don't make right. |
