yes. but for the luck, not because i need it.
although i recently read, here i think, that if it falls face down, it's bad luck and you should leave it. it's only face-up pennies that bring good luck. *edit* haha, beat me keith |

Money is money got to start somewhere. Been keeping mine for ages I must be up to a couple of hundreds in those jars, can't wait to see the bank cashiers when i decide to bring them in.

For me, it's not so much the idea of being too good to pick up a penny. It's more from my grandmother, who told me it's bad luck to pick up a penny that is face down. Call me superstitious, but I already have enough on my plate, and know when to not push the envelope!

As an experiment, I saved "ground score" change for two weeks...pennies, nickles, dimes & quarters. At the end of two weeks, I had enough money to feed my large family of eight a good Sunday dinner... It's amazing how much money is "thrown away"...

I enjoy rolling pennies...I find the monotony of it all kinda' relaxing... And there's nothing better than coming up with 49 cents & going on The Great Penny Hunt! *sigh* I'm easily ammused...

Basically learned it like most of you have, Heads up good luck- pick it up and keep it.. twist i learned, is if it is tails up, pick it up flip it in the air and walk away.
It gives it a 50/50 chance to be heads up and lucky to the someone else who finds it. So pretty much the same as the rest of you with a twist is all. |
