I feel it in my fingers
I feel it in my toes The love that's all around me And so the feeling grows It's written on the wind It's everywhere I go So if you really love me Come on and let it show You know I love you, I always will My mind's made up by the way that I feel There's no beginning, there'll be no end 'Cause on my love you can depend I see your face before me As I lay on my bed I cannot get to thinking Of all the things you said You gave your promise to me and I gave mine to you I need someone beside me in everything I do You know I love you, I always will My mind's made up by the way that I feel There's no beginning, there'll be no end 'Cause on my love you can depend I got to keep it moving It's written in the wind Oh everywhere I go So if you really love me Come on and let it show Come on and let it, Come on and let it, Come on and let it, Come on and let it show |

The rain is falling through the mist of sorrow that surrounded me.
The sun could never thaw away the the bliss that lays around me. Let it rain, let it rain, Let your love rain down on me. Let it rain, let it rain... Her life was like a desert flower burning in the sun. Until I found the way to love, its harder said than done. Now I know the secret; there is nothing that I lack. If I give my love to you, youll surely give it back. Let it rain, let it rain, Let your love rain down on me. Let it rain, let it rain... |

(Pete's theme) Only love
Can make it rain The way the beach is kissed by the sea Only love Can make it rain Like the sweat of lovers Laying in the fields. Love, Reign o'er me Love, Reign o'er me, rain on me Only love Can bring the rain That makes you yearn to the sky Only love Can bring the rain That falls like tears from on high Love Reign O'er me On the dry and dusty road The nights we spend apart alone I need to get back home to cool cool rain I can't sleep and I lay and I think The night is hot and black as ink Oh God, I need a drink of cool cool rain |

Little bird come and sat upon my window sill.
Sat there thru the pourin' rain As I watched that little bird upon my window sill I saw my thoughts of you go by again And a picture of my face reflected on the pane Is it tears or is it rain? I remember how we talked before we said goodbye To young to notice the world outside our door And how we laughed and said our love was free Like birds that fly the winds Well the rainy day made me think of you once more I have no regrets about the past I see how young we were When our world was love and life was but a thought Many things go many ways and many times but once Our lives have passed and that love is but a thought So as the thoughts go tumblin' back I wonder how you loved Wonder if you've seen that little bird I wonder if he's sat upon your window sill I wonder if you'll ever hear these words |

The summer had inhaled
And held its breath too long. The winter looked the same, As if it had never gone, And through an open window, Where no curtain hung, I saw you, I saw you, Coming back to me. One begins to read between The pages of a look. The sound of sleepy music, And suddenly, you're hooked. I saw you, I saw you, Coming back to me. You came to stay and live my way, Scatter my love like leaves in the wind. You always say that you won't go away, But I know what it always has been, It always has been. A transparent dream Beneath an occasional sigh... Most of the time, I just let it go by. Now I wish it hadn't begun. I saw you, I saw you, Coming back to me. Strolling the hill, Overlooking the shore, I realize I've been here before. The shadow in the mist Could have been anyone - I saw you, I saw you, Coming back to me. Small things like reasons Are put in a jar. Whatever happened to wishes, Wished on a star? Was it just something That I made up for fun? I saw you, I saw you, Coming back to me. |

The bridge, we'll build it now
It may take a lot of time And it maybe lonely but Ooh baby, The bridge was falling down And that took a lot of lies And it made me lonely Ooh baby, The bridge was falling. One day, when you talked to me I saw myself again And it made me love you. Ooh baby, And love came running down Like a river on your skin And you let me in. Ooh babe, You let me in The bridge, we'll build it now It may take a lot of time. |

I'd gladly lose me to find you...I'd gladly give you all I had...To find you I'd suffer anything and be glad...I'd pay any price just to get you...I'd work all my life and I will...To win you I'd stand naked , stoned, and stabbed....I;d call that a bargain... The best I ever had.

Life' like a road that you travel on
When there's one day here an' the next day gone Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand Sometimes you turn your back to the wind There's a world outside every darkened door Where blues won't haunt you anymore Where brave are free an' lovers soar Come ride with me to the distant shore We won't hesitate Ta' break down the garden gate There's not much time left today, yeah, hey... Through all these cities an' all these towns It's in my blood an' it's all around I love you now like I loved you then This is the road an' these are the hands From Mozambique to those Memphis nights The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights Knock me down, an' back up again You're in my blood I'm not a lonely man There was a distance between you an' I, between you and I A misunderstanding once But now we look it in the eye Ooooohh, yeah! Mmmm, yeah, Ah, hm, hm, hm, hm There ain't no load that I can't hold A road so rough, this I know I'll be there when the light comes in Tell 'em we're survivors Life is a highway Well, I wanna ride it all night long (all night long, yeah) If you're goin' my way Well, I wanna drive it all night long, all night long! Ah, gimme, gimme, gimme Gimme, gimme, yeah! |

The red-headed stranger from Blue Rock, Montana,
Rode into town one day. And under his knees was a ragin' black stallion, And walkin' behind was a bay. The red-headed stranger had eyes like the thunder, And his lips, they were sad and tight. His little lost love lay asleep on the hillside, And his heart was heavy as night. A yellow-haired lady leaned out of her window, An' watched as he passed her way. She drew back in fear at the sight of the stallion, But cast greedy eyes on the bay. But how could she know that this dancin' bay pony, Meant more to him than life. For this was the horse that his little lost darlin', Had ridden when she was his wife. The yellow-haired lady came down to the tavern, An' looked up the stranger there. He bought her a drink, an' he gave her some money, He just didn't seem to care. She followed him out as he saddled his stallion, An' laughed as she grabbed at the bay. He shot her so quick, they had no time to warn her, She never heard anyone say? The yellow-haired lady was buried at sunset; The stranger went free, of course. For you can't hang a man for killin' a woman, Who's tryin' to steal your horse. Tthis is the tale of the red headed stranger, And if he should pass your way, Stay out of the path of the ragin' black stallion, And don't lay a hand on the bay. Don't cross him, don't boss him. He's wild in his sorrow: He's ridin' an' hidin his pain. Don't fight him, don't spite him; Just wait till tomorrow, Maybe he'll ride on again. |

Love John Lee Hooker and my favorite is "It serves you right to suffer" (((((((Alain))))))) It serves you right to suffer It serves you right to be alone Because you're still livin the day done packed and gone Everytime you see a woman She makes you think of yours You see I'm living in the memory Of a woman I've left behind Now I'm living in the memory Of a woman that has passed and gone |
