Topic: When someone says I love you.. | |

Do you run for the hills?
It depends who says it
I might Or just say Thank Ya |

*runs screaming, arms flailing about*

Why are people so afraid of the word 'love'?
When I say I love you, I mean just that. I love you. I love the who of you. That does not mean I want to sleep with you. It does not mean I want to bear your children. It does not mean that I want to marry you or change you or control you. It just means that I see you for the beautiful spirit you are and I love what I see reflected in you...man or woman ... no gender...no agenda ... just love. |

I suppose there is context that needs inflection and tonality to impart
your meaning. If you use the word love as you use it for a kitten or a beer, than there is nothing to fear. If you use it on a first date and cut off a lock of that persons hair so you can add it to the hair doll you are making of that person, so then you can tell the hair doll how much you love that person, then it's somewhat scary. Those are really the only two scenarios the word is used right? |
dont say it unless you mean it.....and saying ilove you doesnt
necessarily mean in love with you...theres a difference!!! |
Well the lock of hair is just creepy and yes I would run!
And yes, of course, there is always context Fry |

For the record, the previous posts have been farce. I have no fear of
that word. Coincidentally, if anyone should want a hair doll, please email me with contact information. |

im with silly on this one.. there is a huge difference between loving
someone, and being in love with them.. and im thinkin a relationship wont work unless you love them and are IN love with them... |

Well I'll answer this in the context of someone I ...ummm... well... like.. a lot... Its the first time he utters it, and I ~ Well, no, unfortunately I don't weep and collapse in his big strong arms ~ just don't have it in me. I am sincere in how I respond though... but rarely have I repeated it (remember the scenario - I don't mean alllll the time..) Would rather wait for the right time in my heart to say that; definitely not something to say spontaneously. Hmmm - well, at least I'm sincere. |
