There is a place of peace that allows all humans to enter and enjoy the serenity, happiness, and love that every spirit/god/soul/ghost has enjoyed since the universe was created.

Here is the requirement however,

The only requirement when you die and continue as a soul/spirit/ghost,god,etc. is that you hold hands with the person in front of you and the one who is behind you while walking up the hill to get there.

The line has millions of souls/spirits,ghost/gods/ etc. walking up this hill who have all died approximately at the same time as you have. Give or take a few months let us say.

but wait there is more....

The person who is holding your hand in front of you was a Muslim believer and the one behind you is a Christian believer. The person holding the hand behind the Christian believer is a Buddhist and the one holding hands in front of the Muslim is a Jewish believer. The person who is holding a hand in front of the Jewish believer is a Hindu as the person in front of the Hindu is a Wicca believer.

The line is long with many many belief systems, yet all go to the same location of peace and happiness holding hands going up this hill to a place called safety.

Now my question to you is:

Would you continue to hold the hand of that person who doesn't believe in your belief system and continue to walk up the hill to peace and happiness?

or

Would you let go because you disagree that the person doesn't deserve to go where you go?

or

Would you care less, but acknowledge that we are all brothers and sisters afterall and everyone deserves to go there like you can?

Personally?... I'm agnostic. But what you're describing is the difference between individual beliefs, and one common direction toward one state of being. Most like to be happy. I think any that would let go... don't want to be, or don't know how to be happy. Or maybe even don't deserve to be happy.

Well I know the Wiccans will have no problem with this scenerio but the others will.

Personally I believe we all go to the same place regardless to what kind of life we lead anyway. The sweet bliss of forever sleep with only our own knowledge of the good and evil we did throughout our lives.

Well even a agnostic person dies. Let us say that you find out that when you die you end up holding hands as a spirit walking up a hill with many each with different belief systems.

There are some who are not happy and others who are. Maybe they are not happy to leave Earth so soon is one possiblity out of a hundred.

In the long run you are holding two hands that don't believe in what you believe.

Would you personally still hold their hands and continue to walk up the hill, or would you let go even though that what you learned contradicts your studies, because you see that all brothers and sisters are ending up in a place full of happiness, joy, and serenity and have thought different then you on your conclusion on what may or could have happened when you pass away?

Would it matter who believes what? I mean I could suck it up to be happy.. Wouldn't matter who's hands I was holding.. If they were real douchebags though.. I'd push them and they would fall out of line lol. And, I'd like to think it wouldnt take that long to get to happiness

So you would push them off or let go of their hand even though they are accepted to go to a place of serenity just like you.

Well if they were already accepted.. I guess I'd deal.. Can I have my Ipod.. Then I'll be truly happy.. Wait! An Ipod with all the music in the world lol. No band or genre left behind.. And, if we're already accepted why are we standing in line to get there? Is true happiness at Disney Land/world? haha sorry I'm an a$$ tonight

When we die I see quickstepper holding hands with krimsa in front of her and behind quickstepper is abracadabra holding her hand. Behind abracadabra he is holding hands with spidercrmb who behind him is holding hands with a atheist who is holding morningsongs hand who is holding funches hand. In front of krimsa she is holding hands with Eljay and in front of Eljay he is holding mine who I lean towards more Buddhism then anything lately.

I know if I let go a whole line could get ruined in the process so I don't let go and continue to hold hands walking towards a peaceful place for all.

I wonder what the others would do. Could they still hold hands with that person who they disagree with on religious and spiritual topics although knowing that all have been accepted to go to a place of safety and serenity?

It was just a thought for we don't know what happens to us even if many claim they do. Perhaps this is a option. I know it is a wild option, but no one can claim it to not be true. Well yes many can, but those who truly are true with themselves would agree that we ultimately don't know.

Just like my friend has said to many on here that those who are truthful in heart would agree that we don't know and are ultimately agnostic believers.

Wow.. Deep! I agree.. No one knows.. That's part of why it's hard for me to buy into religion.. But, that's just me.

Whatever works best for you to keep that smile going each day is probably the best choice as long as it doesn't destroy others in the processdrinker

No no no, you've got that all wrong. I'm behind QuickStepper, holding her neck in my hands.. and Abra is behind me pulling me off her... ok just playing around.

I would have no problem with holding anyone's hand on the way up the hill, as I suspect that by then everyone will realize We aren't in Kansas anymore, Toto...

I have so often tried to imagine how others view life eternal. Believe it or not, I have never really lacked imagination but imagination in this realm is nothing more, to me, than an exercise in creating science fiction.

I had a cousin and a close friend, both blinded at birth. I never thought much about this, my older cousin took care of me. I only knew her in HER space, her home, which she knew so well, I didn't even recognise her handicap until I was about 8 or 9, I guess. I didn't know my blind friend until about the same age.

This is when I began to question, what does it mean, to be blind? Several people tried to explain but no one could really make me understand until one day I ask my friend. "What do you see?" We talked about it off and on all day. That night I couldn't sleep, still trying to understand.

Suddenly, insight took over and there I was with a total understanding, not only what it meant to be blind, or deaf or to be born with no arms, but I seemed to understand and accept what death was like as well.

A person may have sight or may not, may be deaf or may hear, the difference is between us, not within them. We are all whole until we are told different. Being whole, to me, means the here and now, the person I am becoming for the next moment, and to know that all I am is what makes me whole at any given moment, and that's all there needs to be.

When I die, I will be whole, because I was whole at the last moment of life. When I ceased to exist, it was all there, within me.

I find it comforting to know that when life ceases, it ends. I won't be torn apart from all that made me whole, I won't be forced to suffer an eternity apart from all I considered to be whole and sufficient. And like being blind or deaf, ceasing to exist as a whole, will not be apparent to me within, it will only be apparent to those who perceive a difference.

With that reasoning I can really say, we do go to a better place, a place of peace, a place where there are no differences to be perceived.

This will be my last post for a while, but I'll checking up on you guys, lurking, listening and when I have a break, I'll even speak - sorry if that bothers you.

flowers to everyone!

Hmmmm, I want to disagree but then I am not sure I would be disagreeing instinctively or not. I guess I have not really thought that much about the aftermath of my own death, just the part right before. I don't want to be a burden. I don't want to suffer to the point that no one allows me the freedom to leave in dignity. I do believe in assisted suicide thought I despise that we call it that.

To me dignity means respecting my right to my final choices. It urks me to no end that we care more about the suffering of our old and dying pets than we do of humans at the end of life.

Now I am thinking about the after part. Maybe it's what we think about before it happens that frightens us more than what actually happens? If that makes sense. I think if one is afraid of not knowing what happens after death, it would be best if we adopt the notion of dust to dust and be done with it..

In fantasy mode I think it would be kinda cool to hang out in spirit with souls who have gone before me. I'll have to really ponder this more and get back to ya.. too tired now..
