Lady needs a passion
I don't care if it's passion for quilting or passion for helping stray cats or passion for designing jewelry or passion to dig up graveyards. Just have a passionate enjoyment of life!! We can discuss intellect later...and I certainly like to play Inspector Gadget, but I am not up to outsmarting any woman. |

How important is intellectual compatibility in a relationship? Do most people look for mates that are of similar intelligence to themselves? Personally, if I'm in it for the long haul then I want a woman that can think. If she can constantly make ME think, then she's definately a keeper. As far as for when I'm on the prowl, I may just look for a pretty face that's as dumb as a pile of rocks if I'm just looking for for something to get me by. |

As the years add up, looks become less important, the ability to communicate becomes more important. True love is inside out. And remember the words of Ron White "You can't fix stupid"

How important is intellectual compatibility in a relationship? Do most people look for mates that are of similar intelligence to themselves? It's not so much intellect, rather common sense. |

Everyone thinks they are intelligent.

Everyone thinks they are intelligent. Ah...so true. Intellectual compatability is an absolute MUST for me. Mismatches lead to a breakdown in respect, and it's all downhill from there. |

he MUST be able to hold an INTELLIGENT conversation...
no fun talking to oneself well not most of the time, anyway!!! |

How important is intellectual compatibility in a relationship? Almost as important as a good heart and good affections. Do most people look for mates that are of similar intelligence to themselves? That's a lost cause. |

Are you saying you don't like a woman who isn't as intelligent as you?

How important is intellectual compatibility in a relationship? Do most people look for mates that are of similar intelligence to themselves? I think your drawn to people with the same interests so if intelligence is a big part of your life and you love learning you will most likely attract the same qualities. I have met people with further education than myself but the (fun and passion) is lacking and I have alot of that in me.... Passions and goals are important to me.. because without them we stop thriving..... |

For some reason I have only dated morons, women with GEDs and stuff, I don't think I ever dated someone who had a college degree and I have a master's degree. I ponder that sometimes, is it me? Do I not care or do I attract losers?

Do I not care or do I attract losers? I happen to be a high school dropout, almost entirely self-taught in my fields of specialty. While one could have a degree that implies intelligence, it's also evident in the results of one's work. |

Intellectual compatability is important to me to the point that a person is curious about a variety of things and while they might not be able to comprehend it all at least they are interested and trying to understand. Willing to expand what they know. Common sense is the most important thing to me.

Do I not care or do I attract losers? I've dated women who dropped out of school early and women who had college degrees. The reality is that their education levels rarely, if ever, had anything to do with their intelligence -- at least, not as far as I could tell. |
