I was in labor for 29 hours with the first and it hurt pretty bad. I ended up having a C-section (which I will have to have with this one). I think the main reason it hurt so bad is because I was a first time Mom, didn't have a clue what was happening, and I was scared to death! The fear is what caused the most pain.

Whoever suggested walking, take their advice. It really does help. And as for having sex, it could end up being a good thing or a bad thing. Sometimes, it can cause you to go into premature labor, so just be careful if you decide to do it.

And most of all, practice your breathing techniques. Do what works for you. If doing the Hees and the Hoos doesn't really work for you, then just try concentrating on breathing. If you concentrate on that, it helps to keep your mind off of the pain and other things that might be worrying you at the time.

There is an awesome website for Moms and Moms-to-be @
http://www.whattoexpect.com/what-to-expect/landing-page.aspx.
It was created by the author of "What To Expect When You're Expecting". It's a great site with lots of helpful information during your pregnancy and after.

I messed up on the web address, but I corrected it.
