The internet has it pros and cons... unfortunately, it has given cons a whole new forum with which to deceive and commit their crimes.

But it is also a wealth of information at our fingertips.

Another unfortunate is that people are much more bold online... thinking they are not held accountable for their actions, words, etc.

Probably not possible to take out the "bad" because then you would have even more fighting over who was going to be the final deicision maker as to what bad is.... kinda like the real world is now, only worse.

I think the internet is a good invention. I've learned many things online (photography, recording, etc) that would have been difficult otherwise. Just about anything you want to know is right there at your fingertips.

I think the internet should remain open to different people's views and opinions & shouldn't be censored too much with the exception of child porn & cracking down on pedophiles who lure children using the internet. Oh, and all those viruses. Can't something more be done about that?!?

It is a good thing, but like everything else, can be used for very bad things.

Like anything man creates, the internet has the power to be used solely for good, but is generally used to spread evil.

I suspect that in the future, stories about identity theft and cyber bullying will become more prevalent than it is today. Sex sites will develop with the specific intent to brainwash minors into fracking each other.

I don't hate the internet. It's a good thing to have. It permits file sharing (allowing me to watch tons of wrestling) and total access to a worldwide database on everything. I just believe they need to moniter some things more closely. And no, that doesn't mean having government officials randomly confiscating your computer so they can scan the hard drive, like they were talking about doing a few years ago. To be honest, I don't know what making a "safer, healthier" internet entales.

You might think I'm bad, but at least I've established a healthy medium. You should listen to my parents ramble on. According to them, the internet is the tool of the devil.

I think that it needs to have everyone see this PLACE the Net as a place where YOU are held to be TRUTHFUL,,,and theres alot involved with that but it would still be worth it and LESS capabilities to disceive others
If safe guards and back grounds checks had to be done before you get the service... Just my thoughts,

I would leave it as it is EXCEPT that there would be a minimum literacy requirement for people to use it. My head hurts from all the misplaced apostrophes and garbled Manglish I see every day as it is....
