Topic: How dangerous can a dream be

Sometimes I wonder when world leaders go to sleep and what they dream off could influence their decision the next day.

As I watch a old classic cartoon with my daughter called Dumbo, I remember the part when the circus director was trying to figure out where to place Dumbo in his circus entertainment. As he slept Dumbo's friend a mouse whispers in his ears to make Dumbo work with the clowns.

This inspired him to wake up and say "I got it!"

Now I know this wasn't a direct dream because the mouse helped inspire the circus directors decision, but the director claimed it was his idea in the end.

And let us not forget the many books that have been written about dreams and each having their own definition of what it means. For example flying in your dream simply means you want to be free of something or falling down the stairs means you are afraid of losing something important to you.

When dreams happen do you believe they inspire you to do things in life?

Do you believe it is a form of God speaking to you?

Do you think dreams of certain individuals who had power and greater responsiblity have made horrible decisions in the history of human existence?

What are your deep thoughts about dreams in general and how much do you think it has a impact on Earth?

Guess it depends how deeply someone belives they're dream? I think that would be a big factor. And, you can only take some of them so far before you have to let go. Had a dream 3 years ago this past fall, that I was marrying a complete stranger. I managed to hear her first and middle name and then was at the back of the church and couldnt hear her last name. Well I was engaged at the time, or about to be rather and she was laying in the bed next to me so that further made it strange.. A few months later my grandma died and I moved out to go live with some other fam members. Ended up meeting the chick I had a dream about and the only differance was she didnt have blonde highlights. Well anyways, I've tried and tried but I guess it's not where she wants to be in life, but now that I think about it I wonder if it wasn't a glimpse and maybe it wasn't about getting married.. Maybe it was just go out and help this person change they're life. I put her in a differant mentality about life and herself and everything so hmm.. That's even more interesting.. Sorry I rambled you asked.

The unconscious world influencing the conscious ,waking world? Why does there need to be a demarkation line drawn...ALL input, waking or otherwise, has influence..however subtle it may be. dreams... an extension of one's soul one's logic, one's imagination, one's desires, aspirations...fears... none of it is separate, ALL of it is influential, if one is Present.

God speaking? No. Universal connection, collective consciousness? Yes... and for those that require labels, would probably call that Allah, God, Jesus, Krisna...etc.

Anything is possible, and subjective, so who knows if people of illusionary power had influential dreams...

It is all energy, it is all attached to the continuum, so every thought, every moment, has impact... irrespective of the capacity to weigh, measure, and deconstruct...so of course it has an impact on the great Mother.

Ack, I certainly hope I would never act on some of the weird dreams I have had. LOL But I do think that some people might and that is pretty scary considering some of the wacko dreams I have had over time. Usually my bad dreams come when I eat too late, use sinus meds, or am anxious about something.

Some of my dreams are immediate repetitive dreams, like when I have to do alot of work online, I keep going over the same problems with code, over and over and over. A few times I actually solved the problem in the dream and tried desperately to keep that in my head as I woke. But as soon as I was completely awake it would disappear. Frustrating because I never had the chance to see if the solution actually worked and if the dreams had the ability to solve problems.

I used to have a recurrent dream that my teeth would shatter into a sugar like substance, really freaked me out. And it would always recur when I was about to find I had a cavity that needed to be addressed. Coincidence, don't know, but it's strange that it seemed like it always came just before a problem with my teeth.

Recently I had an abscess in the root of a back tooth, I remember thinking why didn't I have the dream. Anyway I took antibiotics for the abscess and treated it with other alternative herbal stuff, and even made an appointment to have it removed, even though the first dentist said he saw nothing wrong with the tooth in the ex-ray and that once the abscess was gone, I might not need to have it removed. the pain didn't completely disappear after two weeks of antibiotics, but did shortly after. I wondered because it turned out I never needed any actual work on the tooth if that was the reason I didn't have the dream.. Weird, but who knows. I typically don't dwell on my dreams and never really thought about researching them.

When I was a kid I had another recurrent dream, that one of my parents was not my biological parent. when I was 16 I found out that my twin brother had the same dream. At 17 we were told that my father was really our step father. After that we never had the dream again.

This should be an interesting thread, I like to hear what people dream about and how it relates to their lives.

You speak about solving problems in your dreams.

That has happened to me i do not know how many times but when i woke i did not remember a dream.

I almost always woke and immediately i thought to myself i know whats wrong.

I did know to.

I have many times searched and searched and tried to remember where i put something or what did i do with my keys. When was the last time i had them. Could not remember for noth'in.

I would go to sleep sometimes only maybe an hour and it seems like i always knew when i woke up.

like my mind knew once i got a clear head.

Then I believe i am being taught what dreams mean. That may sound strange but i have way to many dreams happen that i knew when i woke up something was up and i write the dream down and try to think what does this mean.

well i am sure many of you know the dream i posted for some input about what might it mean and where was this.

When i saw the next night what happened in L.A. Santa massacre.

It has made so much since but i do not believe it was for me to stop but to learn symbols and thier meaning.

me being at the front of the store and having a light and a laser shined in my face and i had to play dead to survive.

I wondered my friends were all hiding behind curtains like in a dressing room and they did not come to the floor and you could see under them.

Most who survived and i said it was 10 i thought broke out windows on the second floor to jump out.

The cheap china toys had machine guns and seemed to be set up to make sure every inch of the store was covered with bullets. When they came out they were not toys anymore but 1 man was in charge and he decided not to kill me..

He went in as Santa and came out of the suit to leave.

Many more things if you went back and read the dream i asked for help with that i felt a real urgency to this dream you will see all of it relates to what happened out thier.

It is fine if you believe I am reading into it.

I am trying to learn from it because I do believe thier is a reason for me having so many dreams like this and it is to one day know the future to actually help some one... Blessings..Miles

"I woke up with a lovely tune in my head. I thought, 'That's great, I wonder what that is?' There was an upright piano next to me, to the right of the bed by the window. I got out of bed, sat at the piano, found G, found F sharp minor 7th -- and that leads you through then to B to E minor, and finally back to E. It all leads forward logically. I liked the melody a lot, but because I'd dreamed it, I couldn't believe I'd written it. I thought, 'No, I've never written anything like this before.' But I had the tune, which was the most magic thing!"

Here is the dream I posted ....and a cnn news report the 26th about what happened..

I know you all think a crazy and have spoke about dreams that i understand after the fact.

I am getting better but i still can not put a handle on it. But when I woke up a little bit ago I felt such urgency and I know how many people are on here with different idea's and thoughts maybe you can understand something I can not.

Yet i do not know we can do anything about it. The need is thier to learn and understand and if possible warn.

many know I have spoken of visions and dreams and even been told when but i did not understand where and the what exactly was going to happen.. I do not know it is strange.

i do not relay this dream as I right these things down in my dord processor as I recall the dream not looking up at what i am typing or correcting spellings or anything else I leave it alone. as you can and will see the strange dialect i typed but in English.

Thanks for your help and understanding as these things worry me sometimes or i shoud say they do as to often something really bad has happened that i recongonse after the fact.

so believe me i do not post this easilt as i probbally look like a nut case loosing my mind. so it is hard to say what I have or post what i am getting ready 2. Thanks and May Yahweh's Guiding Hand be with Us...Miles

woke up at 8pm ct 12 23 2008

My dream 8pm tues dec 23 2008

We were in a busy place when this thing of what look like a cluster of cheap Chinese toys with machine guns came in. It was 3 or 4 rows high. Built like a square with pipes going 10 or 12 ft across 3 o4 4 pipes high and many pies of what looked like pcv pipe going down and across.

These cheap Chinese toys were spaced evenly across and up and down. All with several machine guns each going every which angle. Straight sideways 60 degreese as if this array of toys and machine guns were thought out exactly as they walki in would a bullet hit every square inch of the place they wa;ked into.

I was watching from a door to the out side stunned as I seen this .

Then they wre done and I was sitting up on the floor and as they came out they were people.

Asian people like Chinese or Japenese and I had to act as if I was a stuffed animal or something as they said is it real..

Talking about me and they said lets see and they poked me and I had 1 arm sticking out and they hit it and I had to make my arm just bounce back like I was not a person.

They shined lights and lasers into my eyes to try to get me to move.

One said I saw him move just shoot him and the leader said no I did not. Then they said lets get out of here.

They all left having to go around me and when they left I went looking for my friends like tunnel vision.

I found maybe 10 all were ok they each were hiding at the time in like a changing area of cloths in a store with curtains on each and you could see under the curtains.

We left and we felt safe but then we noticed we were not seeing anyone. And that is when I woke up.

The Massacre.. Can you see what I am saying?..Shalom..Miles

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The man who, dressed as Santa Claus, killed nine people at a Christmas Eve party planned to flee to Canada the next day, but California police believe he decided to kill himself instead because of severe burn injuries.
Pardo rigged his rental car so that if someone tried to remove the Santa suit, the car would explode.

During a news conference on Friday, Covina Police Chief Kim Raney said Bruce Jeffrey Pardo had purchased a ticket for an early Christmas Day flight from Los Angeles to Canada.

Raney said that while police do not know why Pardo, 45, decided against his plan to flee, they speculate it may have been due to the burn injuries Pardo received after setting fire to the home where the slayings occurred.

Pardo's body was covered in third-degree burns, Raney said, and part of the Santa suit the gunman wore to the massacre burned and melted into his legs.

Police believe Pardo's injuries came after he set fire to the home using a homemade device used to spread fuel.

Raney also said Pardo came to his former in-laws' home with $17,000 strapped to his legs and inside a girdle, indicating he may have wanted quick access to his money as he fled the country. Video Watch police talk about what was found on the gunman's body »

Police said that after leaving the home, Pardo changed out of the Santa suit and into regular clothes.

Raney also spoke about a pipe bomb that exploded in Pardo's rental car Thursday night. He said Pardo had rigged the rental car so that if someone tried to remove the Santa suit, the car would explode. The car was packed with ammunition and black powder, he said.

Police said that inside Pardo's home in Montrose, California, they also found five empty boxes for semiautomatic handguns, two high-powered shotguns and "racing fuel," which they believe was used to help set fire to the home.

Police also said they found Pardo's resume, which said he had a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering, but they could not verify if it was accurate. The resume also indicated Pardo had worked in the aerospace field.

The news conference Friday came after officials said a ninth body was found in the rubble at the home. Video Watch investigators at the burned-out home »
Don't Miss

* Young girl was first one shot by 'Santa'

Police said about 25 people attended the holiday party where Pardo, dressed in a full Santa Claus outfit, came in the front door and then moved through the house, firing two semiautomatic handguns.

Covina police Friday released a recording of a chaotic 911 call.

Voices are heard on the recording yelling, "Stay away from the window!" and pleading, "Please come immediately ... he's shooting! He's shooting!"

Later a voice gasps, "He's left the house -- my mom's house is on fire!"

A distraught woman cries, "My daughter's been shot! She was shot in the face on the side, and she's bleeding!"

Police said Pardo brought four handguns to the home.

The first victim was an 8-year-old girl who ran to the door after hearing a knock, police said. She was shot in the face but survived.

"She has a very, very severe injury to her face. It's not life-threatening, but she's got a very tough road ahead of her," Lt. Pat Buchanan of the Covina Police Department said at a news conference Thursday. Video Watch police describe girl's injuries »

Raney said Friday that witnesses, who may have caught only glimpses of what was happening because of the chaos, thought Pardo may have targeted some victims. He said witnesses at the party said Pardo may have stood over some of the victims and executed them.

Raney said people at the party were jumping out of windows on both floors of the house trying to escape the gunfire and flames.

"The information we have so far is that Mr. Pardo was married to the daughter of the resident of the house," Raney said. "They'd been married for possibly one year, had recently divorced and a settlement was reached apparently last week. It sounds like that might have been a very contentious divorce."

Investigators have yet to identify the charred bodies recovered from the burned house, which belonged to Pardo's ex-in-laws. Video Watch how the massacre unfolded »

In addition to the nine people killed, police said three people were injured, including the 8-year-old girl. A 16-year-old girl was wounded by gunfire and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said, and a woman who jumped out of a second-floor window suffered a broken leg and was hospitalized.

Police said they have not accounted for three people: Pardo's ex-mother-in-law, ex-father-in-law and ex-wife.

Pardo's neighbors talked to KABC on Thursday as they watched police search his home.

"He's very nice, very sociable," Cindy Keenan said. She said Pardo always decorated his home for the holidays.

Patrick Guzman said when he encountered Pardo in his yard about two hours before the attack, "He seemed normal."

"He said 'Merry Christmas' to me," Guzman said.

Ed Winter, assistant chief Los Angeles County coroner, said the bodies recovered were "severely burned and charred" and dental and medical records and X-rays will be necessary to establish identities.

Winter said the intense fire caused the top floor of the two-story house to collapse onto the first floor.

Pardo's body was discovered about 30 miles from the shooting scene at his brother's house in the Los Angeles suburb of Sylmar, dead from "a self-inflicted gunshot wound," police said. Relatives returning to the house found Pardo's body, police said.

Buchanan said police received several 911 calls at 8:27 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived at the house three to four minutes after the first call, the dwelling was engulfed in flames.

The fire was so intense that firefighters battled the blaze for an hour and a half before knocking the flames down so that officers "were able to look into the house from the outside, and initially saw three bodies in the front portion of the house," he said.

As uninjured people were trying to escape, Buchanan said, "that's when he (Pardo) lit the accelerant in some manner -- we do not know how at this point -- and he fled the scene."

Buchanan said the device that spread accelerant was "nothing that we or the arson-explosives unit has ever seen before. It appears to be homemade."
advertisement

A Christmas Eve party at the house was a family tradition, Raney said, and the party had often featured a visit from a neighbor who was dressed as Santa Claus. He said that neighbor has moved out of the neighborhood and was not at the party Wednesday night.

Referring to Pardo, Buchanan said, "We don't know at this point whether he was aware that there was a Santa Claus in years past. We're assuming that he did, and that's the reason for the outfit."

Hello Miles,

That is really a ironic dream. Maybe even a outside experience spiritual somehow??

I have heard of a few who have this ability or at least believe they do.

That our spirits or soul travels outside our bodies to witness situations and when we wake up our soul is quickly back inside our bodies. I know it sounds silly.

Then some just have the ability to predict the future.

It is still a great mystery indeed

Perhaps you have somekind of ability in doing this or your dreams allow you to sense such dangerous somehow.

Regardless very interesting indeed and thank you for sharing this.

yea i do not know. I believe it was a dream. I do not really believe i was out of my body.

What I have come to the conclusion is i was seeing what was happening from the little girls aspect.

I was at the door looking in stunned. I had to act as if i was a stuffed animal.

I saw the killer leave and turned into a man. she seen him go from santa claus to a man.

Lights and lasers were shined in my face and i had to play dead.

She was shot in the face and ran later to her mom and the house is on fire. I said when i went looking it was like tunnel vission..

My friends were behind curtains and were ok. Survivers went out windows of the 1st and 2nd floor.

The toys I seen she was excited to let santa claus in who had what looked like a present.

I do not doubt somehow i dreamed looking through that little girls eyes at what happened and she lived.

Shalom...Miles

wow goose bumps just go up my arms reading this. I wish I had the explanation, but I am far from many explanations at that.

Some talk of a sixth and seventh sense we once use to have when we needed it. Today we only use 5 senses, but it is said we can use the other 2 if we study them.
