 The ancient world was a harsh and unforgiving place. They did not have the option of "playing nicey nice" like we do.Survival required sacrifices we cannot imagine making. Horrible and terrifying choices had to be made.
So protecting my own children would make me "unrighteous" but giving my two virgin daughters over to a mob to gang rape (and potentially murder,) is hunkey dorey?  No, but giving over Gods angels would have been worse.
So we honor this god? Wasnt his fault. It was a human created situation.
Yet that god still referred to Lot as righteous even in the face of such absolute disregard for his own family. According to the story,Lots family survived and everyone else was killed.

I'm sorry. I'm really not getting your point. I never thought that I could change the past. Its a bummer that women werent valued in the Old Testament the way they are now.(Are women valued now?) But noone can do anything about.

I believe women have more protection under the law but I do not believe they are valued much more now than back then. |

the point is humans tend to get things wrong such as with the bible wich was recorded by humans so u get their version ie. the king james version when u read it u get king James version so would a just and loving god have a man trow his virgin daughters to a mob no but a man who is confused would
i said Jesus saved the hooker to show that in gods eyes everyone is worth something even the daughters |

Go read the story. It doesnt say god made anyone throw their daughter to a mob.

Explain? If you dont mind. If you say because "god says so" again I will get that gif and end this thread. His family lived and everyone else was destroyed. Good decision to get out of there obviously And I dont recall saying "god says so" in this thread (or any other)
