Topic: Would you defend them? | |

Absolutely. |

No. It's the choice they made. They sure as hell wouldn't stand up for me for being straight.

Yep. Have and would.

No. It's the choice they made. They sure as hell wouldn't stand up for me for being straight. When's the last time you were harassed for being straight? |

My half brother is gay.
Just LET someone walk up and start harassing him about it. If HE doesn't whip the person's ass...there are enough of us in the family to go ahead and do it for him. |

Personally its nobody else's business what others do in their bedroom, as long as they aren't trying to bring their bedroom into my house...they should be treated like a human being, its human decency and respect

A question was asked, I answered it. I'm not gonna lie just to save face or boost somebody else's ego.

I've argued with my father in public for making racist and homophobic comments on several occasions.
It's very low. |

A question was asked, I answered it. I'm not gonna lie just to save face or boost somebody else's ego. I was questioning your logic. You argued that they wouldn't defend you from being harassed for being straight which isn't even something that I have ever seen happen and I doubt that it is the reason you wouldn't defend them. |

i would speak up unless doing so would put my son's safety in jeopardy. (for ex, if he was with me and it was an aggressive situation.)
*hope this makes sense without going into a long involved explanation. |

All due respect, you don't NEED to question my logic. It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it.

I like to think that I would stand up for anyone being ill treated in any situation...unless it would jeopardize my own family at the time of the incident.

All due respect, you don't NEED to question my logic. It's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. So you want to post an opinion but not have it questioned? You are certainly entitled to your opinion. But it's a public forum. People post. People respond. It's the way these things work. |

As I already told you, a question was asked, and I answered it with my usual brutal honesty.
I realize some people may not share my opinion, but I answered honestly. |

Last time I had the chance to defend someone he was doing just fine on his own, but if he hadn't been I would have stepped in. |

100% for, 0 against. Sounds like a mandate (or a wo-mandate, or, ya know, any of those naughty bits in between)

If you saw someone being publicly harassed for being homosexual would you stand up for and or defend them? Yes, without hesitation. |

If you saw someone being publicly harassed for being homosexual would you stand up for and or defend them? I make fun of my gay friends all the time for being gay, but that's different. I probably wouldn't do anything. |
