Ya know what kills me??
People who say they are racing fans, but yet, have such a bad attitude about NASCAR. I am a TRUE racing fans. I like auto racing in ALL of it's forms. Sprint cars.. USAC NASCAR Formula 1 Star Mazda The list goes on. Racing is racing. No matter what form it's in. |

i respect nascar in all but its just boreing watching family sedans turned into racecars driving in a circle. plus the fan base is mainly whitetrash and rednecks.

Without googling it tell me who is the only drivere to own a championship in F-1 while on his way to winning the championship in the old Cart series.
If you're a true F-1 fan this should be easy for you. |

i respect nascar in all but its just boreing watching family sedans turned into racecars driving in a circle. plus the fan base is mainly whitetrash and rednecks.  Football has more of a "redneck" following and white trash couldnt afford the tickets and what sport has crowds of 200,000 plus?

That would be Nigel Mansell, who went on to win the Cart title that year. Reread my comment you will find my question is in order. Nigel won the F-1 championship in 1992 and while being the reigning F-1 champ he went on to with the 1993 Cart series championship. Thus making him the owner of the F-1 and Cart championship in the same year. As you know he is the only driver to occomplish this. I might add he was also Rookie of the year in cart in 1993. His only year in Cart. Along with five wins and seven poles. |

When the the Cart series split and some drivers went over to the IRL series, there again I lost interest. All I can tell you about Montoya is that he was successful in F-1 and the IRL. Wheather he has a championship in either one I can't say for sure. (and I don't feel like doing a search) I will say that I am glad to see him in NASCAR. He does and will bring more to the sport. |
