Topic: Where does a agnostic man go

when he passes away concerning the Christian Belief System?

I ask because as you know a agnostic man doesn't know or can't give a concrete answer or understanding of religion. He is undecided or maybe even confused. He simply says "I don't know if God exists or not", or he says " I believe in God but I don't know which religion to follow". He does this for the rest of his life until his dying breathe.

What happens to him if Christianity does prove to be true and those who believed truly go to heaven as the Bible reads it? Will the agnostic man be seperated? Will he go where the heathens live or does his soul die out?

Now please in simple language for me. I don't understand the scriptures language that good. Once I start reading every second word thou, shalt, hereone, and those other old english written words I get confused.

Thank you for taking the time to explain.

I do wonder those questions myself. My father was an atheist when I was a child. He's now agnostic. He believes that Jesus was a good man but not that he's God's son. He also believes in a supreme being.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. And whosoever believeth in him shall have everlasting life"

I guess those who don't, won't

He goes to a place where he can decide, probably something like earth.

I'm not a Christian, myself, though I believe strongly in God. I choose not to follow any particular religious path. It's my own personal belief that God doesn't give a crap what your religion is, so long as you believe and you live your life in a good, kind, honorable way. Religion is made up by humans, not God, and religion and belief in God are two separate things, in my opinion.

No second chances! Wow then America has been a great country to those who came here as immigrants getting a second chance in life.laugh

It is almost as if God is saying: either you believe or perish you heathen! You had your chance to understand!

I like that answer for that means you were a agnostic man in your last life. Everyone who lives on earth were agnostic if you believe that you were ressurrected or given another chance to decide.

So if you stay agnostic you keep coming back to Earth in a different human formlaugh or do your chances run out when you have no more tickets to land on Earth?

does that mean a atheist goes to hell?

I don't see how the analogy of the immigrants works here.

It seems to me that that is what God is saying, btw.

I would think that the creator of heaven and earth would get to make his own rules and not care what the creations thought about it

does the potter care what the pot thinks?

I can only assume that means, tough, who cares if you are unsure.. frustrated

Smiles, I would love to believe there is a God that is so in tune with his creation that he completely understands why someone would be confused. And would be equally saddened that his own creation doesn't have more empathy for eachother than they currently do.

I hope smiles that the god that I might believe in is more empathetic than the people that profess to be sure of where you might end up.

It is saying that our forefathers had more compassion then a god who only gives you one chance to decide to go to heaven or not, whereas our standing fathers have accepted people who have done mistakes in the past to start over in the new country.

I always wanted to see God as someone who can forgive someone, especially to those who didn't know at the time.

I also hope so for the bible says he loves all, but then says later you can't make it to heaven if you don't believe?? Very confusing I must add

The god you envision is the god I would like to envision. To be able to forgive because we didn't know at the time.

now you're getting it

which is worse?

living your life as if there is no God and then dying to find out you were wrong and he is pissed off at you?

or living your life as if there is a God and dying to find out you were wrong and nothing happens?

What does a potter care what a pot thinks? So we are all pots in the eyes of God? ummm, hmmmm, your god is not only a self centered egotist but someone that didn't much care about what he was creating in the first place. Looks like he just wanted a bunch of Yes men and women to do his bidding. Some father he turned out to be. ack My father says I should not think for myself, god will do the thinking, and you will simply obey, you little pot you...

No thanks, you can have your god, I will hang with the least of these and feel I am in good company..
