I usually just use a three card spread. What the positions means depends on the question asked.

I tried a horoscope spread the last time I did a reading and I really liked it. Have you tried that one?

Its in one of the tarot books that I have... "Revelations" I had never used that one before but I did a reading for one of my friends when I back home for a visit, I was impressed with how it turned out.

The one that I did tho, I had my friend put something personal of hers in the middle of the circle ( well before I laid them out ) she used her engagement ring. When I did one on me I put my necklace in it.

I don't really have a favorite. I try to choose a spread that is best suited for the question I'm asking.

Usually when I turn to tarot I'm asking complex questions, and so I typically chose complex spreads that are designed to reveal a lot of detailed information.

Anytime a question can be reduced to a yes/no response I turn to my magick stones. I just trust them more because they seem to be well charged and more in tune with my aura.

But then again, I trust my intuition a lot too, so in truth, most of the time I just go with that.

One thing about the traditions of witchcraft is that it's easy to become fascinated with the tools (toys). laugh

Two tarot spreads that I personally like are the Triangle and Cross (that's all one spread), and the Creative Process.

You can see examples of these two spreads on this site:

http://www.facade.com/tarot/

They have several other spreads to choose from too. But the two I mentioned above were my favorites. Mainly because they seemed to fit the types of questions I was asking and they also seemed to pan out the best results for me personally.

I think with tarot (like everything else) you need to go with what calls to you personally. That's a big part of what makes it work. bigsmile

And yes, where can I see how to lay out a horoscope spread? That sounds interesting.

Thank you.

I've copied and pasted that into my tarot stuff.

I like that one.

It's pretty cool. shades

Abra, I posted it right above you  I'm lightning fast you know laugh
I do know what you're saying tho about the different spreads. I often try to choose the spread that suits my my needs at that time. I don't have very much experience in reading stones so I stick to my cards. Not that I'm very experienced in that either laugh
