Right. Like say you wanted a red tapered candle for a love spell or something very specific that you were visualizing in your mind's eye. In that case it would become most beneficial to actually design and create a candle of your own. That could only enhance your spell work.
But as far as making just everyday candles for my own use or as lighting or whatever else, its too labor intensive for me. I also cant afford all of that. Buying the candles in their functional form is more practical for me at least. |

Oh you mean like the actual herbs used in the spell itself? Well I dont always burn them as incense. Mainly I have socked them away someplace or put them in the Gris Gris bags. But once the spell has either come to fruition or nothing has happened, I might just dump them out. Is that bad? I guess because I have other needs for them like the medicines for instance.

Well, I know most witches, including myself, would not reuse any supplies used in a spell for something else. Doesn't mean you can't, of course, it's just the general consensus. |

Maybe I should rethink that practice then. I guess I never thought it through or considered it harmful.

Maybe I should rethink that practice then. I guess I never thought it through or considered it harmful. I think it's considered counter-productive. And, since you don't use a lot of herbs in a spell, it's probably better to just burn them or scatter them appropriately. In front of your home if you want to draw something in. Farther away if you are banishing something. |

Ive never actually attempted to banish something, but only draw something I desired to me. Yes you are right. For some reason I feel compelled to keep every speck of herb but thats probably something in me on an emotional level and counter intuitive to the spell itself.
