I used to make candle magick kits and sold them for a while. It came with a sheet of beeswax, herbs, oil, wick and instructions.

You took the herbs and laid them in a strip down the middle of the beeswax (which was the shape of a sqare). Then you laid the wick in there and rolled up the candle into a cylinder. Then you anointed it with the oil and worked your spell with it. If you put too much of the herbs in you could really get quite a flame going. laugh

Its not as hard as you think. I did it in elementary school. Go get some champagne glasses with stems and then a box of crayons with all the different colors. You can make a wick by tieing a small weight (small enough for the wax to cover at one end.) Then you drop that in the glass and you melt down the crayons to create the liquid and pour it in the glass. Then you just allow it to cool and solidify and snip off the string leaving a couple inches for the wick. They wont be fancy but kind of cute. You can put fragrance oils into the melted wax to make aromas. Yuo can also make whatever color you want with the crayons really.

Its so nice to have found a home in the 'other' forum. I hardly ever venture into the 'general religion' forum anymore.

And why should I? I don't want to be converted and I am not trying to convert anyone into my church of one.

night night. waving

Truly.

There aren't a lot of people posting here, but the one's who do post here are super nice people. flowerforyou

With the exception of your's truly, Mr. Argumentative Grumpiness. laugh

I try to avoid the GR forums too, but can't resist the urge to peek out there every once in a while, and then I end up blabbing away.

Oh well.

I'm slowly weaning myself off it. bigsmile

No, I didn't know it went by that name. laugh But, I certainly understand why. It's hard for all of us to stay out because it's a subject we are interested in. We enjoy thinking about these topics and discussing them.

I’m just trying to stay away from Creationism vs. biological evolution because that just leads to fighting.

Ever watch that show "The Simpsons"?

The little cartoon people.

They always take on timely issues and poke fun at them so one episode the local museum of natural history in town there is advertising their new exhibit so they put up this HUGE banner stating

"Human Evolution: Irrefutable fact!"

The Christians in town are all upset and grumbling.
