QUESTION: Are you supposed to take off the plastic off new lamps????? I just took the plastic off 2 of them but left the plastic on one......... PLASTIC + LIGHT BULB = FIRE HAZARD!!!

The shades?? I leave it on until it gets too hard to clean. it keeps the shades cleaner & their so expensive for good ones.

Ya my parents always used to leave the plastic on......but I was afraid of a fire hazard as well. 2 off, 1 on...........I love my new walmart lamps!!!! 4 for $58! I dont think Ive ever had new lamps before....
