I'm sorry. the pterodactyl is your example? Look, we have reproductive similarities to goats, was my grandmother a goat? I mean, seriously guys. evolution is laughable at best. you can't take similarities and say that one was derived from the other without watching this process over the years.

If..

You had a reptile that had a bird's vertebrae in this stratum of the earth...

Then one with a.. say.. toe of a bird in the next layer..

Then one with an ankle of a bird in the next

And so on and so forth, you MIGHT be able to conclude some of your findings, but drawing conclusions from the amount of evidence you have is pure lunacy..

So because there are gaps, it's lunacy?
And to say that some invisible man did it is sane?

Not trying to pass it off as factual, even tho in my mind it is.. biggrin The main problem with evolution has become the fact that teachers no longer "treat" it as theory (if they believe in it). They may technically call it theory, but will speak of it vehemently as sound doctrine.

So why not teach the theory of Intelligent Design? I mean, there is evidence in DNA that such a complicated code could not possibly have just spawned into existence by accident. That if any fraction of the molecules within DNA were different, the person or animal could not even live.

Do we look at Stonehenge and think it fell from the sky? No. But even tho we didn't see someone put it there, we know that it's too specific a design to have gotten there without an intelligent being putting it there.

DNA cannot even be unraveled by the largest super-computers, so how much more time and effort (or talent) had to come from an intelligent designer than the makers of Stonehenge?

So, my friends, there is evidence of Intelligent Design. And if you really believe Evolution is a theory, you shouldn't feel threatened by those who wish to explore this one.

The proof is there if you choose to see it!! Since most of you who hold that view choose not to see anything that goes against what you want to believe, this question is generally wasted. Why try to degrade and rip apart everything we believe in for no good reason. You don't see anyone of us on this site doing things like this to any of ya'll.

I applaud you and wonder why myself, but I'm prepared to offer even more factual basis for my theory of choice.

Second Law of Thermodynamics: All molecular matter, from the very atom up, moves from a state of order to disorder. EX: a car dilapidates, it doesn't grow newer.

In order for Evolution to exist without a Creator, you've only got one choice in theories so far (at least only one that has been made popular). Big Bang Theory. According to this proven law of Thermodynamics, the Big Band Theory CAN NOT be true by sheer impossibility!

And a funny to leave you with... There was an explosion last year at a plastics company, and I got this really cool tea pitcher. Just landed in my back yard. Turns out the explosion didn't actually destroy things, it created them. ...sigh... really? educated? come on.

Abracadabra:

You're not alone.

Probably 99.9% of the people who call themselves "Christians" disagree with the Bible. laugh

Why they insist on calling themselves "Christians" is beyond me. ohwell

Most 'Christians' truly don't believe in Christianity at all. They just cling to the name of Jesus and make up their own story of what that supposedly means. whoa

</div>

Many Christians have different biblical interpretations. Is that in disagreement with the Bible? Please tell me what a true Christian believes. I've been told many times that I'm not a true Christian.

I remember hearing how a bee defies the laws of physics. I'm not asking for an explanation, the point I was trying to make with my earlier post is everything in our universe is to intelligent to happen by chance.

And when you go and try to figure it all out, Nature comes a long and throws another stumbling block in your way. In my opinion science proves that there is a God.

First of all creationism is not a theory, you need to look up what a theory is. creationism is an idea. The earth revolving around the sun is a threory, and evolution is just as sound a theory.
And 2 law of thermodynamics does not really work, but I'm on my way to work to i can't get into it right now.
But would love to after.

With all due respect, Evolution is a bunk theory which actually has no evidence to support it.

The evidence once used to prop this theory up in the mid-evil 1900's can not be used due to the lack of these necessary intermediary species.

The theory was set up improperly and haphazardly.

Love you sea, but don't stay in the dark ages of science.

As far as Creationism being theory, there is more plausible evidence for it's existence than for Evolution. Take one off, please take them both. I'm not opposed to raising the bar on the amount of evidence, but keep it all in perspective.

I guess someday we will all know the answer, when we pass from this life. Understand I said "guess", as I am not positive about the idea of becoming all knowing when we die. Until that time comes for me, I will continue to try to get people to get along with each other. It is not fun to do so sometimes. In fact, in the past, I have been in the middle of fights I did not even start or have anything to do with other than trying to be the peace keeper, for which I was more severely beaten than the members of the original fight. So much for evolution, Or I would have learned by now----laugh

ok then meet the challenge I put forth at the begining of this thred.
There is no evidence for creationism.
Creationism is not science.
You can not test it.
It is mytholigy.

You can not accuratly test evolution or creationism. In the pursuit of scientific fact, there must be a way to work the equation or experiment either again with the same result, or, be able to work the equation bacwards to acheive the different parts of it. We can not do either with either. Believe whatever you want to believe and get on with your life is what I say. Cause there will come a time when I can't breathe another day!

sighhhhh

here we go again, another useless conversation that will lead to nothing but arguements with no potential for resolution. no offense to the newbies.

why dont you search back over the last several months and see how much has been posted and talked on of this from all sides, i think it will answer everyones questions here and put a stop to bringing it all up over and over. there is little that has not been covered or addresed, nor were there any resovings on any side taken we all still believe as we did then, and nothing you say here will turn out any different. you wanna live by faith - be my guest - you wanna live by science be my guest. there will not be an answer to win the day posted as long as oranges and apples are used as the core discussion points of any topic you raise. jmo

Must you always come into these threads with common sense and logic! Gee you spoil all the fun!

So seamonster, did you create your new thread? or did it evolve all by itself? I'm not trying to be a smart_ _ _ here. I would really like to know what exactly was the origin of your "new thread". Can you clarify in a short easily understood note? Or would it read more likea Bible of some sort? If it is lentghy, or hard to understand, maybe you could just start a new thread!

I did, it's the Evolution and creation thred.

I realy did try to make it as short as possible.

So are you saying you created something? for that to be true you would have to believe in the concept of creationism. Otherwise your new thread is just like the other old threads about evolution and creation. Nothing new just a different way of posting it. So it evolved. No it could not have, I took human interaction, so it was created, oh crap, I'm confusedjjlkj k dk jelnfg jk dfjk ljd df oops

no, your right I created it, I am god of that thred. And there is evidence to back that up.
