It would much better if people just ignored threads or posters they don't like & moved on. Some people will follow you to another thread to harrass you.

I like to debate (do note, debate not argue), but it seems some people would rather throw an insult or completly back out of the thread with a "well it's not worth explaining"...I'm very open and there is a chance someone could change my view. I don't get hostile with people, usually I just have fun with them...seems some are better at taking jokes than others, dunno.

No, defending their girlfriend is some kind of woman support activity like having to take another girl to the bathroom with them to pee. Yes, they're adults but they still need someone to hold their boobs when they pee

People who follow you to another thread to harrass you are called trolls. They are easy to defeat: ignore them. The problem is people like feeding them and of course they come back over and over again for an easy feed.

Hmmmm I never understood that behavior myself but I have often observed it. Those of us that don't have that support group are often singled out for the attacks. I tend to be a loner.

I'm a debatist as well. i love it. i love to hear other people's opinion and express my own. i'm a part of alot of of forums...this one newer than others. some i've been on for years.

but hostility is just part of a forum. some people can't conduct themselves in a debate or conversation without making it personal. whats really funny is a few weeks ago i asked

"how many of you take it personal"

and a boatload of people said they didnt.. but as i watch this forum.. and i've lurked for a good long time... thats just not true. alot more on here than other forums do i see people cryin over comments made by others. maybe because its a dating site?? i'm note sure. but its been interesting.

Well you can't ignore them if they follow you, & Trolls usually don't roam in packs. We have specially evolved packing Trolls here & the only defense is to log off. I am doing that more often & more quickly recently.

For me, it depends on if I no the person in real life and they are attacking me personally. I will take it to heart if it is a loved one. If it is a "computer friend" or acquaintance, I hardly care.
