I think we're in a modern world... roles are a bit of an outdated concept.

Granted I've always been attracted to independent women... feminist types who don't fly the feminist flag.

But I really do believe that since "perception is reality", there's probably a bigger risk of artificially limiting ourselves in the roles we think we can play, for most people.

Or am I just discounting the quaint comfort of tradition and risking funny looks from society?

If you can't see things through the eyes of the other person, you will probably be the cause of a lot of disputes and not be able to resolve disputes at all , all while having the look stuck on your face.
