I love irony. The old double-standard of "say one thing, do sump'm different" is more prevalent than most people would care to admit.

For instance....I can't believe the number of people that say they hate Christmas music, the biggest reason being that they don't like the repetition of hearing it over and over....yet, they can listen to all the current stuff on the radio all year long and never bat an eye.

There's tons of ironic things in the world. Discuss.

I love listening to Christmas music. I just don't want to hear it around Halloween. If they would just wait until after Thanksgiving- it would seem more into the season and therefore more special but thats just me.

it makes me laugh to hear so many people say "we have to bring this country back together and stop the divisivness that those corrupt conservatives/liberals keep instigating"

I got another one:

I am forever seeing women expressing how "it's not the looks of a person that's important, it's what's inside that counts"....yet those same women require any possible suitor to be decently dressed, have their teeth, be presentable"....

Hahaha, so true!

Ah well, I'm pretty consistent

I don't like Christmas music... and I hate the repetitiveness ....... BUT I also do NOT like most music on the radio now, and I don't listen to music on radio because it is repetitive. I do not understand how people put out special requests for songs that will be played again within the hour anyways.....

and well, I do not believe that looks don't matter, it's ONLY what's inside that counts........ damn that! I think I hear something in my head go "oh brother!" when I hear people say that 'line'.........
Appearances ARE important, and I look at the physicality as well as the personality. I take an important look at the physique, the clothes, the teeth, the hair, etc..... and I admit it upfront and will continue to do so.

For the most part, I'm pretty much a 'say what I mean and mean what I say' woman...
I have a decently universal standard, but I'm sure if I dug around a bit for some self- irony, I may be able to pull something up. Who knows?

Yeah...ummm...I don't listen to radio very often either.

The whole " heavy rotation " thing drives me bugsh*t.

I hate when guys say one this and act totally different.

As for the christmas music thing, it all just starts too soon so of course we're tired of it before christmas. Doh!

But that's exactly the point. How soon is "too soon", and why doesn't it apply for the rest of the year for ordinary music? Doesn't it seem strange that people can listen to the same songs over and over again all year long and think nothing of it, but cringe every year the moment Christmas music hits the airwaves for a MONTH?

As far as Christmas music or some of the other stuff mentione already doesn't bother me I have a great knack of tuning crap out after a while.

My irony is people that are constantly preaching how much they "just Love people and the golden rule" but yet walk by the hungry person on the street.

You must REALLY like Christmas music to get upset with others for getting tired of it quickly!

You said discuss, so that was my comment. I did not mean to imply that you assumed anything. I apologize if it came across that way flowerforyou
