While we're hashing it out I wish more people would get off their respective cheerleading issues and admit that they'd vote for their own party even if their candidate was on life support with no brain activity. Obama is just a young man with a gift for delivering great speeches he didn't write. McCain is an old man with a lot of experience and a whacked out idea of what constitutes good judgment. Most people I know, vote for who they think will do a better job. Minus a very select few, who I have made it very clear how I feel about that to. I was pretty certain a few years back that I would vote for John McCain the next election. But he's not the man he used to be. He's corrupt. Choosing Sarah Palin makes me question a lot too. She's nowhere near fit for the position of vice president, and it's totally possible that she will end up being our president soon. The United States are already the laughing stock of the world for having a dopey leader. It's time for change. It's time the person who runs our country is able to speak English, our language, fluently. |

I don't as much about Biden as I would like to. He seems respectful. What do you know about him? About Joe Biden, in 2002 as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee he stated that Saddam Hussein was "a long term threat and a short term threat to our national security" and that United States has "no choice but to eliminate the threat". He also said, "I think Saddam either has to be separated from his weapons or taken out of power." Biden has a mixed voting record that includes an effort to protect habeas corpus within the Patriot Act. I am personally quite uncomfortable with the idea of broad reaching power under the dept of Homeland Security so there I agree with him. He gets an "F" from the NRA which makes him in my view naive about the importance of the Second Amendment. Personally I'd rather vote for Biden for president than Obama or McCain. He's a lukewarm candidate who has pretty much admitted to plagiarizing one of his speeches and oddly seems less informed about the intellectual details of politics than Dan Quayle ever was. |

Bush against Al Gore was a tossup of two overstuffed turkeys. Bush without 9/11 would have been a one term president. Bush against John Kerry was the evil you know verses the evil you don't. Does anyone really care if Osama Bin Laden is captured, killed, or vaporized? I don't. I'll be shocked if Obama brings any significant number of troops home the first year. Telling me I should vote for Obama because Bush was incompetent is like saying I should date a new woman because my ex was a witch. In both cases one has nothing to do with the other. The Bush presidency is over. McCain will not lose because of Bush. He will lose because he's John McCain. And don't forget Palin. And Joe Biden is a rocket scientist? Turkeys. I don't as much about Biden as I would like to. He seems respectful. What do you know about him? He has a bald spot. |

I think I really enjoyed hearing Thriller tonight I just don't think an Obama rally could be that good. I've been to an Obama rally with 100,000 people last week. I grew up with "Thriller". They don't compare!! |

All,
In answer to recent questions about his U.S. citizenship and birth, the obama campaign website has his "birth certificate" on display. Problem is, IT's A FAKE! The most damning evidence comes from below interview. barrack hussein obama is not a U.S. born citizen, and there could be evidence he could in fact be an illegal alien! Juliet Subject: Very important to listen to this interview with Phillip Berg Here is the audio on the interview with Phillip Berg a Democrat that has stated that Obama is NOT a natural born citizen....and therefore is NOT legally to serve as President.....please listen to this interview or go to This is very important obamacrimes.com http://michaelsavage.wnd.com/?pageId=2256 |

They're frivolous. They're called illegal immigrants not aliens. Aliens are from other planets. |

well, this thread took a turn for the weird
I'm kinda okay with Obama. I think he'll do okay. The only thing that worries me is the President (of either party) having a filibuster proof majority |

The only thing that worries me is the President (of either party) having a filibuster proof majority i almost want that though... I think a lot of obama's ideas are great for 8 years ago when we were doing well. but now we're entering into a recession. you can't hand out money for long-term projects until you fix the now. once we pick up again, then we can start pushing for the long-term. I'd love to see a democratic president with a good majority congress - at least for once there's no way that one side can blame the other when **** hits the fan. though in this case, i'm sure it'll be all bush's fault. |

Wow its a shame that people who voted for Bush have to do "research" when it comes to someone who may be inexperienced however is the most professional outta the two choices of presidential candidates not to mention wants to bring our troops home and find Osama Bin Ladin which for the last 8 years.. well u kno the deal. I wish you guys did some research b4 you selected Bush. i did... and he was better than kerry. that's your story and ur stickin to it.. where did you do your research.. im curious.. Oh and kerry wasnt the only option. What about Ralph Nader? |

Obama is inspiring and this nation who has been through the wringer with this last administration, needs all the inspiriation we can get.
Obama is something new. He has new ideas. Change. You know we thought when we voted in 2006 to put more Dems in that we would see change but all we did was put enough in to stall everything. That is why their approval rating is down, we wanted them to change things and they were unable to. Hopefully if we have a Dem president and a Dem congress things will get shook up and at least some change can happen. We know what happens when you put a Rep President in with a Rep Congress so maybe we can see what happens the other way. |

And for Thomas27, each presidential candidate addresses this country with every speech, public appearance, etc. they make. They both make a "statement" to our Nation with every bill they have supported/opposed, their experiences and stances in the government positions they have held and so on. It goes far beyond their 15 minute "claim to fame"...if only you and others would pay more attention beyond their one-time address to the Nation. I believe you took it a little out of context there. My post about addressing the Nation was full of sarcasm. However, I do agree with you about how the Presidential candidates address our Nation with every speech, appearance, and so forth. One of the factors in my decision is, who in my opinion is the best reflection of the American People. I mean, when he's there in the White House making decisions that affect our Country globally, they will not be pointing at Obama or McCain, but at America as a whole. In other words "us". I know about the us thing and so should all American's. Bush has made us the laughing stock of the world. |
