I still don't know much to say about it but I hope those in need can remember that simple lesson at a time when they need it most. |

I'm glad Scarlett is an expert on who is intelligent and who isn't. I see how communication skills can IMPLY intelligence. I don't consider myself any kind of expert on anything but I've been around. I've seen people suffering who turn to many things for help. Some things work for them and some don't. Religion works for some and not others. In spite of what the religious interpretors try to manipulate, something ring true on a personal level and some things don't. Jesus and Bhudda both taught their philosophies to help people no matter if you believe in them or not. Those who can be helped that way are lucky to have found a way to deal with their problems. When you reach a conclusion that solves some problem you are going through it doesn't matter how stupid you are.

Religion is not all bad, Quite those opposite is more true. If it had not been for catholic charities I would have had no food to eat a few years ago! "All things work together for the betterment of Gods kingdoms" -(Jesus) It is hard for me to understand that one, espesicialy when I witness mean acts carried out on others. But, I will continue to believe in Christ. I would rather er on the side of goodness that meanness. PS. Gods loves the sinner, He just hates the sin!

Bye for now I GTG but thanks and I hope I didn't offend, I just like to challenge the platitudes and stir the brothe to see what rises to the top. When you toss a statement at me I like to see where it is coming from. I actually like horseradish better.

Jesus was trying to teach the Law of Attraction which is how the universe works.
He was simply trying to say that whatever you believe in, you can manifest. The only reason you can't manifest what you want, is because you have no faith. He also said that whatever you ask for and BELIEVE, you will receive. Jesus was trying to teach us how the world works. But people couldn't understand what he was saying, so instead they turned the whole thing into a guilt trip claiming that he was crucified to pay for their sins. Something I'm sure he never meant to be a part of. |

After reading this, I have that Krimsa is an advocate for getting stoned, someone made relish out of the mustard, and the poor ole mountain feels neglected... James is Attracting Laws... and giving that really funky hippy dude called Jesus a fair and appropriate write up. |

all are of fair and appropriate representation, as each speak it's own perception, for each perception to increase with all words spoken, as what other way better to see how what ones ays is not all the truth, as even unfair is profitable, as it lead to a later knowing of what fair is............
what is not an imposter, and what is an imposter, as if one was wrong about anything, they were an imposter, leading to each wrong seen of self, as being less an imposter........ so what should not be heard, and first proven true, before it is discounted as untruth, so that all that can be learned from the part that was true, can be learned, leaving then easy sight of the part that is not of more truth, and it seems in this way wisdom grows.......... how the human brain walks along each day disproving all it hear it dislikes, and all that is not identical as what one already knows, and this practice is believed to be as wisdom, is truly a mystery of the universe, that if unlocked, as the whole truth doth stone any themself to death, as guilty of profound ignorance, then the mountain of self as most wise is fallen into the depths of the sea, and faith in fellow man that was once but only a mustard seed, can grow into a belief, by sight of proof heard from all things, of how all are EQUAL....... |

If in fact Jesus was trying to teach the Law of Attraction, it would certainly explain a lot! - "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." - "Judge not lest ye likewise be judged." Just the first two that popped into my head. but I think a liberal interpretation of the NT would show an amazing parallel. |

Law of Attraction Power of Belief Law of Karma Whatever you want to call it. This is precisely what Jesus was teaching. Keep in mind that the gospels weren't written by Jesus. They were written by third persons who confused what Jesus was trying to teach with their own beliefs in the dogmatic Old Testament! They missed the point entirely and instead just focused on the crucifixion which Jesus most likely never even planned on. |

Discussion forum posts like these illustrate so very well the two major problems facing religion (any religion, not just Xtianity) today: First, the insistence on the part of religious hierarchy that sacred writings must be interpreted in concrete, rather than figurative, terms. While this may constitute job security for unimaginative clerics more bent on controlling people than instilling reverence for divinity, it also creates a sense of vagueness and unreality around those teachings and reduces their credibility as a whole among educated and uneducated people alike. Secondly: The average person of faith tends to be less well educated and capable of expression/communication than the average heathen. People of intelligence start to gain the impression that religious figures (Jesus, the Buddha, Mohammed, Moses, etc.) were just a bunch of dorks who went around shooting their mouths off and getting more than their fair share of attention, rather than men and women who were enlightened, intelligent, and highly educated. yours in Chaos, Scarlett |
