That hasn't been said a thousand times already!

In two months the city of Chattanooga's water bill is going up approx. $8.84 for future repairs that may or may not happen. Not to mention there was just a 10% increase on the same water bill a few months back.

TVA is is also raising their rates 15% or so, which means EPB will be jacking their rates up to compensate.

TN Natural Gas, that sh!t hasn't stop increasing since I've lived here!

Try have something a little extra like cable and internet. Just screwed there too! Since Comcast is the only cable provider in the area, they just increase the rates as they see fit, which happens to be pretty damn regular!

Oh yeah, since mister landlord had to pay more in taxes last year, he felt it necessary to raise the rent $50 per month!

And gas to get back and forth to work, I guess there is no need to elaborate!

So, while all these folks have raised their rates to compensate for their losses and ensure that they still make a profit, my wages have stayed the same.


I don't know, maybe I'm the only one that thinks there is something a little wrong with this picture! Hell, I'm a lower class puke anyway, blue collar worker, nobody. If I had to guess, I'd say that most on here fall somewhere into the lower classes category. We are the ones really hurting, not the middle class, not the upper class! I don't understand why people don't pull together on these everyday issues, instead of arguing about crap that's way out of our hands at the moment!

We are getting the same here in Indiana...people are having to get room mates just to share bills and survive....it's getting very scary indeed.
