Belief is not part of the equation. Evolution is supported by empirical evidence. Creationism is not. i'll choose that for myself over the "empirical evidence". The fossil record belongs to the first earth age before the Katabol or Satans rebellion if you will. Creation as in Genesis is for this current earth age. Were we are to be born of woman in the flesh to decide, for ourselves if we are going to follow God or Satan or be indifferent either way. |

But of course some of us need more than that and to many there is no "god". We dont accept that as a valid premise. It is irrelevant, proves nothing and is non-existent in lieu of tangible and focused research. |

Ah SharpShooter10, your moniker is ironic, since you are very clearly shooting intellectual blanks.
But hey, if you want to follow the WORD of some spirit that was tricked by a snake, ok. Why would you want to go to heaven anyways? I mean, how good a place could it be if angels revolted? There is a war in heaven! You want to die and go eternally to a place that has spawned an eternal war? Sounds to me like Satan may be the original democratic reformer attempting to throw of the chains of a dictatorship. I think I'll throw my support behind the reformer. |

I am working on my God helmet as we speak . . .

"Persinger uses a modified snowmobile helmet or a head-circlet device nicknamed the Octopus that contain solenoids which create a weak but complex magnetic field over the brain's right-hemisphere parietal and temporal lobes. Persinger reports that at least 80 per cent of his participants experience a presence beside them in the room, which they variously say feels like God or someone they knew who had died."
It sounds kind of psycho sexual in a way. Sign me up, baby! |

Personally if I where a very religious person, I would learn as much about evolution as I could, because to me if you believe in a creator, then this would be the ONLY way to understand your creators creations.

I know that much of the Roman Catholic church now adheres to the belief in "Theistic Evolution" which is expressed here. I found this on a website.
"Theistic evolution is the general opinion that classical religious teachings about God and creation are compatible with some or all of the modern scientific understanding about biological evolution. Theistic evolution is not a theory in the scientific sense, but a particular view about how the science of evolution relates to some religious interpretations. In this way, theistic evolution supporters can be seen as one of the groups who deny the conflict thesis regarding the relationship between religion and science; that is, they hold that religious teachings about creation and scientific theories of evolution need not be contradictory. In describing early proponents of this viewpoint, it is sometimes described as Christian Darwinism. A very similar view, that is hardly distinguishable from a scientific viewpoint, is Evolutionary Creationism." |

God created evolution. Evolution is the way of God. Isn't it beautiful! I think evolution created god personally but who's keeping score. Evolution can't "create" anything. Evolution is a process not a creator. Every evolved organism has biological parents. but i don't keep score either Except that the process of anthropogenesis or Human Evolution allowed what we now understand to be homo sapien sapien to come into existence therefore enabling men to invent Creation Mythology and the concept of "god" or a grand creatrix in all of its different variations and roles so...thats where my thought process was going anyway but I have not had my morning coffee yet and its nearly noon here. |

The interesting thing about coffee is everyone assumes its a diuretic and dehydrates you. At least I thought that but in fact it isn't. You will urinate more when you drink it but it does not actively dehydrate the body. However its still best not to overdo it because the caffeinated drinks can become quite addictive and you tend to develop a tolerance for them so when one cup of coffee used to wake you up in the morning, eventually it will take 2 or 8. |

Excellent stuff Jeremy. I spent all day yesterday going to each link. I found some other interesting evolutionary observations that are being made on humans in the current day and our physiology, eye color changing, its truly something that can be visually detected and recorded now by researchers. The only element that has changed in the equation is the external pressures in our environment and what is causing these mutations and why some are beneficial. This one is alright. Chimp and human mtDNA comparison explanation so its relevant to this thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjGZ6kF2gbQ |

God created evolution. Evolution is the way of God. Isn't it beautiful! Yes it really is. It would be really cool if one day we could prove god through evolution. I don't hold that possibility as very probably, but then I guess if I did I would probably be a theist. Jeremy. |
