I'm not really insulted, I couldn't give a rat's ass what he says, except for the fact that he puts his child in danger and lets them act too old....That's a therapy session waiting to happen when they get older if I've ever seen one.

"trashed" a thread about bad parenting skills, bratty little kids and how you are not ready for this type of interaction from 1st graders....

If your community would benefit from your style of parenting, perhaps, you could try to improve the parenting styles of those around you, instead of condemning the children that are subjected to "sub-par" parenting.

but making a difference is not as rewarding as pointing out others shortcomings, in order to validate yourself..???? just a thought...

I stated it was the parent I had an issue with, unfortunatly I won't let my daughter play with this little girl any longer because I WON'T have my child acting in such a manner, and kids, mine included are VERY impressionable at that age.

Missy~

I do love posting with you, as we can agree to disagree. flowerforyou But in this case, it was a simple matter of understanding child development and the society in which we live. That anyone would think 6 is old enough to be alone on the street is just ridiculous.

That how old my youngest is (10) and she is allowed to walk to her school which is literally 3 blocks from our front door with a group of friends.. There are always at least 6 kids in this group.. I wouldnt let her do it alone.. Like I said we live in a very very rural area no crime...but I 70 runs right thru town and theres too many what ifs involved...

Yes, that is good -- a group of friends. It is our responsibility to protect our children.flowerforyou
