Just got this on another site -- the lady's screen name consists of the
name "Noelle" followed by a series of numbers. The message reads:

==============================================================

My Name is Goelle and i am very much Friendly than i could think of
myself,I am really here to see if i could find my Partner,I am seeking
someone Serious and Excited about Getting to settle down...
I am Very New to This dating of a thing Online and will be glad if i
find the right Man for me..I hate lies and Posters..So if you are one of
them dont contact me

==============================================================

Is it Noelle or Goelle?

Claims to be from Bend, Oregon, but grew up in -- you guessed it --
Georgia. Apparently, the Georgia school system has lost ALL of its
funding for English courses.

Well, she hates Posters, and I Post here all the time, so this is
probably not a good match....

Tempting, but I'll pass....

Pretty good, MB, how about you? Hey, I really enjoyed your thread on
depression -- learned a lot and I was impressed with your overall
knowledge of the topic and your ability to help other sufferers. You've
got a hell of a therapist in you if you should ever decide to go that
route.

ALL of these people have some connection to Georgia! But usually it's
Valdosta or some city I've heard of.

thanks lex. i toyed with the idea of becoming a therapist once upon a
time, but since seeing a therapist still carries somewhat of a social
stigma, i decided i would rather just be an ear for anyone who needed
it.

MB -- you raise a good point, isn't it sad that so many still think you
must be "crazy" if you talk to a professional about your problems....?
It's a medieval mindset (evil spirits inhabiting the body of the
sufferer) that really has no place in a world where we know that leaves
which fall into a pond don't turn into fish.

they also didn't think spelling was terribly important back in the
day...maybe your new friend is a time traveler! (like how i tied that
all back to your original topic?) but it really is too bad that people
can't be more understanding. talking to my counselor i learned a lot
about the history of the treatment of mental illness, and it seems to me
that it just helps to prove my theory that every problem in the world
can be traced back to the uneven distribution of wealth and/or a failure
in communication.

With that syntax, I am guessing English is not this lady's first
language...although I could be wrong.

I'd use the name "Goelle"; even if it is wrong, she'll know you read her
profile rather than simply looking at the pics.

Good luck.
