"I truly believe it can conquer death and go on forever." interesting. Do you think love is in the soul of a puerson?

I'll get vulnerable here... I had love and I lost it. I can feel times where 'something' wants to jump out of my chest and try to find that feeling my past love created and tended to. I sometimes dream that everyone around me loves me but my "dream self" doesn't accept it as the real thing. So yea, the "soul" seems to be the best explanation as far as I can see.

I have finally found an opportunity to quote a Barbara Streisand song. I'm eternally grateful Peccy
Love soft as an easy chair Love fresh as the morning air One love that is shared by two I have found with you Like a rose under the april snow I was always certain love would grow Love ageless and evergreen Seldom seen by two You and I will make each night a first Every day a beginning Spirits rise and their dance is unrehearsed They warm and excite us, cause we have the brightest love Two lives that shine as one Morning glory and midnight sun Time weve learned to sail above Time wont change the meaning of one love Ageless and ever evergreen It might not be wholly appropriate for this thread, but tough! |

A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness...hard to find...almost impossible to keep

By all means to each his own, but if I may ask a question. In the bigger picture, love, fact or fiction; Is a way of life. So now, to what benefit does your way of thinking affect civilization?
The opposite of love is hate. I am sure you can acknowledge its' existence. Though I am not religious I do follow some basic Tao principles, and I do believe in balance. *intended reply to wonderbread* |

values have corrupted the idea of love and turned it into a common word we use out of lust, or worse than that, spite. It is used more as a tool of hurt than it is to heal, inspire or nourish the soul. So I'm curious what is your definition of love. speak for yourself.... I have many different definitions of love, as many as I have people that I feel them about... no one has the time or wants to hear my definitions as it won't pertain to them, nor will theirs pertain to me. |

True love comes quietly, without banners or flashing lights. If you hear bells, get your ears checked....And if you can't be with the one you love, love the one your with
P.S. The "love the one your with" part is...yourself |

Sometimes I truly believe that love does not exist...now lust, thats where its at Love seems to come and go to fast, so how can it really be real? It seems like the only real love that last is the love that we feel for our children.

Peccy, your definition of love is one that is most common, and I believe that most people "believe" they are in love when they feel this way. The trick is...feeling that same way months down the road, and then years later. That is when you can say that you love someone.

Love is a battlefield, on a one way street....

And in the end, the love you get is equal to the love you give .... Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue
