Obama is fond of saying that he is not about bringing his opponent's children into the race, but he seems perfectly willing to benefit from it. It's normal for Palin to be getting all this attention right now, in a few weeks, nobody is going to be paying that much attention. Remember that Bush Sr. was elected with Mr. Potatoe head for a V.P.

She supports teaching creationism in classrooms as if its science, anyone who has such a weak grasp of reality, and is that uneducated should not be in any position of power. . . . I was going to vote for McCain till Pallin came to the situ. . . . McCain at least said he would only support science to be taught in the science room and that his belief in god didn't effect that. But Pallin has made some idiotic comments in the short time she has been in political office. The problem is McCain is 72 years old, and has had questionable health issues . . . . that to me says the VP should be just as competent to lead .. . and that is not what I get when I add up her credentials, her issues, and her ignorance.

If the far-right establishment allowed McCain to select Joe Lieberman as he wanted, they would have had a formidable "Maverick" ticket and could have made a great case that they could drive bi-partisan cooperation. Not now.
