Well, arent you the lucky one? Seriously, depending on the work, it does not always allow time for sightseeing and it can be tiresome. Of the three that are left in your list, I would choose Hawaii because I would like to see a volcano, which is funny, I am afraid of heights. Yes, it is kind of funny, and yet comforting at the same time how one particular place just kind of grows on you. Did you grow up in Massachusetts? Born and raised in Northampton,MA. |

Good morning all, I hope everyone has a blessed day. Precious Lord! Beyond expressing, are thy beauties all divine; Glory, honor, power, and blessing be henceforth forever thine. Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-1892) |

Ok, im not a religious person, BUT, i am very spiritual.
Just thought i would mention cos thats wat this thread is about. I believe we should all look for our own paths in life. If a religion is true, it will speak for itself and not use human representatives to spread the word. Im certainly not out to offend anybody who follows orthodox religions, i believe we r all entitled to believe wat feels right to us. To some, its a third leg that keeps them upright, to others, its a safe place to go to for comfort when needed, and sometimes its just normality as their family has shown them. But to me, religion is man made, i would rather listen to my own heart regarding wat is true. |

Well good morning Pink lady from bonnie Scotland. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on spirituality. I appreciate you sharing. You probably noticed from my previous posts in here, I am a Christian believer and look upon it as a personal relationship with the Lord. I enjoy fellowshiping with other believers as a means of encouragement and support for one another. I am hoping this chat room can be a place for those of faith/spiritual to get to know one another and offer uplifting words, rather than a medium in which to denigrate or belittle other peoples beliefs or faiths. I believe most people are searching for their purpose in life and for truth. You appear to be new to the threads, I hope you enjoy being here. Enjoy your weekend. |

Thanks Britty :)
As i said, im not here to offend anyone, just giving my own opinions. I help when i can and i believe in the power of collective thought. Im spiritually enlightened, and believe there is much we can do to help ourselves and others in this place we call life. Whether a person is religious or spiritual, we ALL have the ability to bring comfort to eachother if we can see beyond our own boundaries. |

Hey everybody, looks like it's going to be another hot day here in Frog town. I don't have much to say today, but I would like to share my favorite Bible verse.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. |

I've always thought this song has a haunting loneliness, which is amplified by the fact that I can't speak a single word of Urdu or Hindi.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VooHala_fAw Sometimes, the thought crosses my mind That you've been made just for me.. You were a dweller of the stars before You've been summoned to earth just for me Sometimes the thought crosses my mind that This body and these eyes were preserved just for me That these dark tresses of your hair are for me alone.. That these lips and these arms are solely in my care... Sometimes the thought crosses my mind that Just as the shenaai strikes a tune somewhere I am lifting your bridal veil on our wedding night And you are blushing shyly in my arms... Sometimes the thought crosses my mind That you'll love me like this for life And caress me with a loving gaze always I know you're just a stranger, nevertheless Sometimes the thought crosses my mind... I hope you enjoy. EDIT: Here's the duet version... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKMPf737pp0&feature=related |

wow, that is really nice. I see what you mean about the haunting loneliness. The words translated are nice. Reminded me of a friend, I knew in England. why do they call it frogtown? The area that Toledo is in used to be a giant swamp, filled with frogs. I guess they drained off most of the swamps, but the name stuck. |

Oh dear, I guess the frogs became homeless. |

Hi Britty.
I like your new thread. Wonderful idea. As a christian myself I can appreciate the need to be clear about what we know as christians and how we are merely part of the whole of humanity in our affirmations of life. You are showing us your love here in this chat room. How adorable. This reminds me of something I read this morning. 1John 3:1-3 Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the 'children' of God: therefore the world knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the 'children' of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be : but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him ; for we shall see him as he is. For everyone that has this hope in oneself purifies oneself, even as one is pure. Well, I am hopeful that all will come to know and not just believe how true these words are. Such a hope is evident by your love here, dear lady. |

Thanks for the scripts folks.
Love those wouldee... it really becomes very clear what the Lord is saying in these days of ours. I was thinking about God's spirit. "HOLY" Spirit... meaning total agreement...with God. Holy...One w/God. That means something. |

Good afternoon dear, and QS You know me dear, I believe in the Gospel of love, always will. This afternoon as I was leaving church and walking towards the carpark (I actually park in an overflow park next to the church), so I am on the sidewalk and I see something crossing the road. It did not look like a fox, rather scraggly looking. Fortunately a guy came by at that moment and told me to be careful it was a coyote. He stayed there with his truck in the road, till I got into the car. I was glad not to be alone. |

As this seemed to have got mislaid yesterday, I will repost: Rudyard Kipling If If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools; If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on"; If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son! |

Hi Britty.
wow!!! I cannot tell a fox from a coyote either when some dogs on leashes look like one or the other. promiscuous little creatures, aren't they? How fortunate to have assistance when such a critter is wandering around enjoying it's day, too. |
