Topic: I have seen the light of the Holy Spirit.

Today I have been moved by the Holy Spirit in ways that I only hope to share. The true meaning of the scriptures has been revealed to me on a personal level by the Holy Spirit just as Protestantism has proclaimed that it should be done. No Pope, Paper or Pious, is required. All that is required is love.

I have also seen that the Holy Spirit speaks through many different scriptures and mediums of all manner.

I am now able to say that I am a Protestant Christian based on their proclamation of what that is supposed to mean. This doesn't prevent me from also supporting other religions. However, I am certain that this will be confusing to many. I can only hope to share my sacred understanding of the Holy Spirit with anyone who is genuinely interested.

I will be glad to share my understanding of the Holy Spirit with anyone who cares to listen. I am not interested in arguments because I am only offering my understanding of the Holy Spirit for whatever value it may have for others. I am not out to prove or even assert that my understanding needs to be your understanding. My foremost belief is indeed the Protestant stance that only the Holy Spirit can speak to your heart.

I merely offer my experience of the Holy Spirit as a personal testimony and nothing more.

Please feel free to ask any sincere questions that may be on your mind.

Peace, and Love to all. flowerforyou

What did this Holy Spirit look like?

When I say that I have "seen the light" of Holy Spirit, I mean that as a metaphor. It wasn't a "vision", it was an epiphany of understanding.

In other words, "I see clearly now what is going on."

I once was blind, but now I see. flowerforyou

Well I am happy for you. If you can now see what is going on and can enjoy each day with a smile and feel good then it must be worth it.

All the best James and don't forget to enjoy life as much as you can.

oops

I just had another epiphany from the Holy Spirit.

I cannot claim to be a Protestant Christian.

Even though the Holy Spirit has reveal to me the meaning of the scriptures this is not enough to become a Protestant Christian.

The Holy Spirit has just now revealed to me that the Protestant Christians are in error.

They have a contradiction in their own proclamations.

First they claim:

1. Only the Holy Spirit can speak to your heart.

But then they claim:

2. The Old and New Testaments are the only sources of Christian doctrine.

They can't seem to make up their minds.

My mistake.

All that has happened today is that the Holy Spirit has revealed to me the meaning of the scriptures. But the Holy Spirit does not seem to be in agreement that the Old and New Testaments of the Christian doctrine are the only sources of its wisdom.

My mistake, and my deepest appologies.

I must denounce Christianity altogether.

Sorry for the mistake. flowerforyou

No need to be sorry. You are exploring your options of how you feel best as a human. I was told there are many paths one can take. Some find one they are satisfied with as others don't.

Some even find many different paths to the pursuit of happiness.

Follow your bliss as you will find one that really attains to you best.

Well, the epiphany still stands Voil.

I do now fully undertand the scriptures written in the Bible.

That was the actual epiphany. It was my error to then claim that I could qualify as a "Protestant Christian"

I thought they believed that only the Holy Spirit could speak for God. But obviously that's not the case. And the Holy Spirit was kind enough to point that out to me real quick. bigsmile

Sounds great Smiles.

I wonder what people do who have experienced what I have just experienced today?

You discover a great truth of a religious doctrine only to simultaneously discover that it flies in the face of the religion that is built upon that doctrine.

I guess you just go off and eat a banana split. laugh

the question that keeps coming to the front with me is WHY??

Why should any of what the bible states have to be at all?

i have an aversion to pointless meaningless games.

Did you mean to ask,...

Why should any of what the bible states have to be true at all?

It doesn't need to be. That's was part of the epiphany. In fact that was a very large part of it.

This is why I can't claim to be a Protestant Christian. I jumped the gun on that one. I was focused on the idea that they believed that only the Holy Spirit could speak for God. But then it was revealed to me that that's not what they believe at all. What they really believe is that only the Old and New Testaments can speak for God.

So they worship doctrine only, and not the Holy Spirit at all.

I fell for their lies that they worship the Holy Spirit. huh

Me bad. ohwell
