If I were totally alone, without any friends or family, no I would not be very happy. But there are too many people in the world to be alone. I would make some friends.
But if you are talking about a mate, I am very happy without one. I think they can be more trouble than they are worth.

Besides, what does it matter who said what? There is no reason to be alone unless you are a very unlikable person with body odor.

It changes. Sometimes I am happy alone and sometimes I am not happy alone. When I am not happy alone I can choose to be with others. I find it is a personal choice at times to be alone just as it is a personal choice to not be alone. There is like this feeling I get of okay I have isolated long enough.

Ya I'm alone,I've gotten use to it. Life is what it is, am I going to settle for someone, just to not be alone. No. It is said misery likes company, but thats not the company I'll keep. Happiness is making someone else happy. Just trying to find that someone is what makes life seem cruel sometimes.

Am I truly happy? I'd say I'm comfortable. Are any of us truly alone; strangers in a strange land, unable to speak the language, different than everybody else, locked up in a box with no human contact whatsoever, no. We all have friends, familys, acquaintances, work-mates. There are billions of people in this world, and more coming every day. All one needs to do is open their eyes to see that just because you sleep alone doesn't necessarily mean you are alone.
