I don't know how to remove emotions from sex...to me it's a highly emotional function.

no. If you're good friends then there is already feelings attached. I have yet to meet someone who didn't get hurt by this. If someone said they didn't have bad or uncomfortable feelings about doing it then they are full of sh*t.

I don't know that I'd want sex without emotions or feelings. So far I haven't had emotionless sex, so I'm not sure I'd want to go there, even if it was with a friend.
