Either way it is a good topic...being spiritual is to walk the walk and not just talk the talk being religious to me is confusing and changes you can pick a new religion since there are so many but spirituallity is being real and taking "religion" to living your life with convicition and not getting wraped up in those said judgements of "people" but your guiding force...there...better? ok someone will argue they always do!!!

the original question was can one be spiritual without being religious... that means to leave religion out of the equation ..haven't you notice that you keep including religion in the equation ..

For those of you who don't have any icon or picture at all I have to say this.... You look just like all the other people with no photo. I am constantly thinking I am talking to someone I thought I knew... then I see a different screen name, and well, you just all look alike. Very sad.

I would like to see some sort of picture. I am a visual person.

some people may have more than one profile on this site and by placing difference pictures in each profile and in order to not be detected they would have to change personalities with each post and may find themselves falling into the abyss of becoming mulit-personalities in real life ..

or the logical reason why some people don't post a picture is they perfer to remain anonymous

how can this perception be taken away from anything that is born with it.......

indeed anonymous has many motives, some all for hiding what is good, and some for hiding what is bad, but how does one truly know the motive of another, as each is different with a totally unique mind, unless they are asked........

Christianity religion is a fellowship with people who also believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins....we pray together, we eat together, we get married and all are there...we have babies and all are there....someone is sick and all are there....someone needs to move and they are all there...someone dies and we all are there....

My relationship with Christ Spirituality is a personal one.....one in which He has my heart, my soul, my mind forever and ever. And this again is not because this is what I was "Taught" to believe....it's because of circumstances to where I could "No" longer deny his existence and Christ's amazing Love for me.

I am not suggesting they put a picture of themselves up. They put up a picture of mickey mouse for all I care. But so many people with the "ask me for a picture" icon gets confusing.

Spider does not put a picture of himself up, but I can usually recognize him from his icons. That is also true of Feralcatlady and her shoes and lips.

Besides, you don't have to put up a picture of yourself if you don't want to, but pick a symbol of something that you like that can represent you or else your icon just looks like everybody else's.

I am a visual person, but I don't judge people by their looks. In fact, being an artist, the more interesting and different a person looks the better. What you might think is "ugly" is beautiful to me. Who wants a world full of beautiful people with perfect faces? >>>Boring.

there is a way to be spiritual and not be religious because it happened in the bible when God choose unlikely people to do great things... religion is just a set of rules but spirituality is a gift from God....the holy spirit GET IT????
