Now now people, calm down... I miss London! I miss the Tube, I miss the fish n chips, I miss the BEER, I miss the way no matter where I went people would stare because of how I talk. I miss the fact that I say 'house' different than Americans and I even miss the dodgy bits in North and East London where I was accosted by Chavs. I cannot WAIT to go back next year! Spain is nice too. Avoid Gibraltar and those evil monkeys though. I goy arrested by a bobby in one of those dodgy parts of London. Down where the Jamicans hang out! I didnt like London. The people were alright just a bit paranoid. Their beer sucked. It gave me a headache, but I had been drinking that good German beer for 2 yrs. I was spoiled! |

Living there for a year was a total mind trip. I was nearly killed in Elephant & Castle Tube station and once got stuck in a bus in Brixton (really sketchy). Was in the area of last years night club bomb scare because the next day was Canada Day Festival. And I lived in Lewisham. Also hung out with a lot of crazy East Enders. I'm not a fan of English Stout but The Porter House has anything you want beer-wise. |

The crap they sell here and call German beer is nowhere near the same. I imagine I tried every English beer they sell trying to find any that was worth a damn. I couldn't find any. It was way too green and weak. Id rather have a BUD, and if I ever went back Id try to sneak some with me! |

I was about your age when I was there.
Everyone in London was paranoid form the Irish blowing everything up. Our hotel was right around the corner from the Ritz. Whats that square? speakers sq or something? |

I prefer Belgian or Canadian brew. German is a 2nd choice.
It was just outside Leicester Square. Pretty nice area, but some minor sketchy stuff. I also used to live in the Docklands, got hit heavily by the Nazis in WWII and we had to walk to our train because they closed down everything in the area when they found an old warhead. Big ass bomb too. Thankfully a dud. Moral of the story? Canada seems really calm and boring. |

It might have been near Harrods. It had a statue of a guy on a horse near there. Wellington? It has been a long time but I remember the horse and an arch. When I got drunk that's how Id find it!!
