take to the road, wide open no compass, no map. let's get off of the highway the straight wide, colossus and take that curvy, narrow road the type of road that only shows up on the county maps let's plan not to plan keep a cooler stocked so we can stop wherever we want and turn the world into our picnic ground let's go for days, for weeks go for broke 'til we're broke talk and not talk turn the radio up or off keep the windows down drive into the sunset holding hands sleep whenever and wherever we want let's explore and discover make our own history |

i love road trips, though one might need to take out a mortgage just to go on one at this point.
i occasionally take my grandmother on trips. she's in her late 80s, and loves just driving down country roads. my grandfather used to take her for rides, but he passed in '73. |
