Topic: Would you still marry them? | |

I'll never get married again & I don't want kids!!

in a NY second!
yep & that would be a + |

I wouldn't want to be with a woman who wants and can have children. Four of my own (all adults) is enough already!

If we had discussed this prior to marriage and both had agreed on the situation, sure.

I would never marry a man that wants more kids because I've done my part by raising two already. If he has kids already though then great!

I would take it as a sign that we were destined to adopt. Adoption is as much a blessing as procreation...maybe more so.

![]() ![]() not really looking to remarry but if this was my significant other in a long term relationship then sure |

I personally do not want to "have" anymore of my own.. I have 2 adult children now.. if I met a man that had kids, that would be fine by me, I would treat them as if they were my own, as I have always done in the past.
But if the man I met wanted kids.. we wouldnt make it, I can't have anymore, besides, I'm too OLD for that! lol |

This totally depends on the situation. Some people just don't need to have children...others need them to feel whole!!

i couldn't live with myself knowing i had kids that will eventually end up with bipolar... |

Thanks, Mirror, for the thought provoking post. Some young people breezed through with glasses half full= optimistically. Some thought about it. Of course I am 55 now and I just gave my own experience as a reference. It is an important question for a young couple starting a life as one. Catholic couples getting married "in the church" have to go through 8 weeks of group "therapy". We did that. This question never came up. I think it should. You know, the thing is, I know that I was fertile when we got married. He had LTR in college and never got a girl pregnant. We don't know if he was able to have children, do we. Like Henry VIII, ignorance is no excuse. How many women lost their heads because they did not provide a male heir? Little did he know that the male determines the sex of a child. good thank I find it interesting that Dr went silent. I hope that means he is seriously thinking about this. I know lots of people who
don't want kids at all. Not a problem. I wanted a dozen. Yes, I did. A cold husband kept us from adopting more. |

Dr X. Please don't marry her. You already said you want "flesh of your flesh". You will cheat on her and have a child and that will hurt her terribly. Let her find a man that really doesn't want children. Please break off the engagement now. Better now than 15 yrs from now. imho Beautifully expressed and most likely what will happen. |
