has anyone other than me been to a large scale battlefield and felt the rage, the pain, the madness, the fear, the pure raw emotions that are imprinted there forever?

if you ever get the chance walk gettysburg, specially the devils den, little round top, and The Wheatfield, you will not be able to help but to feel the raw emotions there. i have been on a few of them and its not something thats pleasant, but im a history nut, love learning all i can about it.

when I lived in Hawaii we went every year and it really brings home the fact that so many of our men died right there. It makes you appreciate our freedom so much more, and if you listen closely you can almost hear the cries for help. It will break your heart.tears tears tears

i have and rather than the emotions you felt, it was more like a spoken silence, chilling, actually. almost as if a thank you for remembering and honoring those that fought for us. flowerforyou

Not actually. Aboard the USS America during the airstrike on Lybia ('86) I was too freaked out watching mine sweepers clearing mines from around us. Happy as hell to get out of the gulf!

i just came back from the battlefield at manassas aka bull run, and the confederate cemetery has massive amounts of cold energy running all through it, you get on the walkway and its not so bad, but outside of it is like you just flipped the ac on underground. i had people put their hands under mine and they could feel the cool air flowing into me.

same for me, thumper. At Manassas, VA. 1st and 2nd Bull Run battles. Cold chills and goose bumps and winds whisking by me. I felt sad, very sad.

i did both tours, and especially in the cemetery and the ny monument there was massive amounts of cold energy hitting me from all around. i would like to take the second battle tour on horseback, just so i can see everything, instead of whats right around the stops itself

Yep, Wilderness battlefield in VA.
I also work for a horse rescue and have felt similar chills/vibes on a few abuse investigation cases.
