Ralph is the next iddy biddy town after Yellville. About four miles out going on south 14 towards Harriet and then Marshall. My friend, Stuart is going to call me about 10 in the morning. He is bringing his truck to my house and I am going to drive the van to Wang's garage. Wang's is just on the other side of Ralph. Then when we drop off the van I am going to stop by Sherwood Forest RV park on the way back because this guy name Lloyd has three places for rent. The RV is just past the Ralph welcome sign on the right I was told. I am really getting the over time now working all my off days for about a month and a half now.

Thanks, Babs. I went and looked at the tiny trailers at the RV park and the prices he wanted. I kept thinking, "But seriously what do you want for them." I weedeated the front yard for mom. Mom told me I didn't have to be in a hurry and I was good till Christmas. As my dad used to say, "There wasn't enough room in those rentals to cuss a cat." I sure wished I didn't have to move; I have become comfortable here. Those trailers would be perfect for the person who had nothing because there was plenty of room to put nothing in.

I wouldn't want to live in a box but thanks anyway. I have lived out of my car before but that wasn't much fun either. Feels great to take the night off. Went to my meeting earlier. Had a great time. Went to visit a friend of a friend who is working on my van. I work with a friend and his sister's brother is the mechanic. They live just past the charcoal plant towards Bruno. Oscar, the mechanic had the van jacked up under the driver's side. Eighty-five dollars for a new rack and pinion was what he was quoting me. He thought it would have cost more. He had the right front wheel bearing and the seal installed. He was showing the bad shape of the driver's side caliper and tie rod. He said he hadn't a chance to even check out the passenger's side, yet. Good grief, the van is living up to its name, money pit.

And getting poorer all the time. After $400 more dollars the front end has been totally rebuilt. I just got back with the mechanic and it will be another $30 for the high pressure side tubing for the power steering going from the power steering pump to the rack and pinion. I am saving money on insurance because after I seen what else needed repaired on the money pit I took the insurance off of it. No need to pay insurance on it when I can't drive it. Oscar like others really doesn't like working on an old Chrysler but he assured me he would try to take the gas tank down and repair the float valve so the fuel gauge will work. He said he will take a look at the passenger side window and get it to working, too. My brother-in-law came over and mowed the yard for me. That should make mom happy.

Found On the Road Dead, Fixed -up Old Rebuilt Dodge? I think I am supporting my local mechanics. I am just hoping my old Chevy can last until I can get the old Chrysler Dodge Caravan running right. Stuart's said that his brother-in-law, Oscar used to repair race cars and that he would probably repair the Chevy Lumina car after he gets the Caravan going. Even Oscar was surprised how much cheaper the parts are than other parts he has installed. Oscar was telling me how more the labor would be if he was doing the repairs at the shop he works at in Gassville. I may be able to get the third shift job I was second in line for. It seems he gets along with this one nurse as well as Robin did. What really shocked me was when Pennie, another coworker said that Robin was as hard to work with as Stuart. They just haven't had to learn how to suck up as much as I have learned to do in order survive all the battle of wills at work. Stuart's sister said she hasn't ever had to work with so many women. She works there, too. Stuart has yet to learn that it is not like it is on the outside because it is a woman's world at the nursing home. I think the estrogen levels are really getting to him just like it has many men before he got there. They come in like Haley's comet and go out like fireflies.

I think the funniest thing I have heard this last week was when resident said she wanted her mommy and that she thought I was her mother-in-law. Later I asked her if she wanted to go to bed and she told me that she didn't know anything. I told her that I could relate because I didn't know anything either.

Stuart is calling me his homey. I have never been a homey before. His brother-in-law, Oscar is doing a great job on the van and saving me a lot of money on the repairs he is doing. Stuart was telling me of some of the vehicles he did repairs with Oscar. I told Pennie I would work Friday evening for her. I am thinking of going ahead and getting a new windshield for the van while Oscar still has it. The van when it came out didn't have tint but Stuart assures me the Oscar can tint it. I think it is going to be a beautiful fall in the Ozarks. The leaves have already started to change colors.

I got a buyer for the car when the van gets fixed. Stuart wants to buy the car for his room mate so he can have his truck all to himself. It is getting colder, tonight.

Stuart took his CNA test, today and the clinicals. He thinks he did all right. He was scheduled to work right after taking it. I am glad I put the new windows in now. One burner on the propane heater is enough but then it hasn't got real cold here, yet.
