Its going pretty good. I was under two quilts and a sleeping bag. We got the propane heater on just one burner. Kathy has a heater in her room. I got one heater in the well pump house that is temperature controlled like the one Kathy has in her room. Then there is the radiator heater in the front room for the dog and cat. Lady has taken over the couch and Crazy Cat is sleeping in front of the propane heater. Lady was wanting to get in and out last night but is satisfied staying on the couch. Going to make the run to Buford for the van front seats this morning. I thought the new windshield looked beautiful. So nice not to have cracks in it plus the tinted upper part. I should be able to haul material for the new room with it now that the two bench seats have been taken out. I am glad Oscar wasn't so distracted with his hurting wisdom tooth and got the rear hatch to open. I hope all are having a good day.

well, I paid Oscar half what I owed him which he was contented with. Probably not as contented as if he had gotten the whole sum. Kathy gets paid tomorrow and has her doctor's appointment at a quarter to ten in the morning. Hopefully when she gets back with paying her fines and restitutions she will give me some on the rent as she is my boarder. I can't really complain since I have been using her car to get back and forth to work and meetings and the like. With weather permitting I will be able to able to go after the seats for the van. Oscar said the van was four cans low. He filled it with Castrol since it is a four cylinder. I could have worked a double tonight but glad they got a replacement for the one who called in. I really enjoyed the meeting tonight. Hope you are doing okay and enjoying the warmer weather if it could be called that.

Be careful, yourself. I had my back hurting last week from lifting residents. Its feeling better now. I went to Walmarts to get new windshield wipers for the the front of the van. I bought one for the back of the van for when I can get the back wiper arm put in. The guy who works there also works at Mullins auto salvage sometimes on the weekends. He told me about the van that was a year newer than mine. It was cool as I didn't have to drive out to Mountain Home at Buckeye's auto salvage to get parts. I paid 20 bucks more for front seats than I would have there and the seats are red though going in than the powder blue I was going to get. So 117 bucks on the van, today. 10 bucks a piece for 4 matching hub caps and the 70 bucks for the seats plus tax. While we were there guy said if I found the copperhead in the seats that it would be at no extra charge. We found the snake skins on the floor. No snake crawled out of the van coming home so I guess the copperhead must just have been visiting at the salvage yard.
He couldn't get the back wiper arm off without tearing it up. Oscar says though that we will be able to fix it. Oscar helped me put the new hub caps on. He was babysitting his young-ins so couldn't stay out much. Plus he was wearing his new house robe and it was a bit chilly out there for him. He said come by any time next week and he said we would get back on it. He took out the passenger side speakers in front and shook some more broken glass out from when he put the new windshield in. I was afraid the broken glass would damage the speakers. |

Went to to work to get my wallet out of my locker I had locked up last night. I knew I was forgetting something. Had breakfast at Hilltop restaurant. Went to Walmart. Checkout the sale on the 18 volt portable drill by Black and Decker that came down from 50 bucks to 40. Drooled over the 1 TB Seagate internal SATA Barracuda hard drive that came down from 89 bucks to just 75 bucks. Finally unhypnotized from just staring at it because I knew we needed groceries and the phone bill and Internet bill had to be paid. Paid the Internet and phone so they wouldn't shut it off. The litter box I got the cat can't scatter the litter all over the floor. Ha, ha. Got the dog some canned dog food since I have been buying canned cat food. Made sure to get wieners for the dog. The cupboards aren't bare any more.

Went to Springfield after work last night. The van did real good on the long trip. Robin had called during work and said she was stuck in the airport with Maddie. She had taken the last plane there from Chicago and didn't have enough money to make it home. They had to sit in the airport by themselves with the police checking on them every once in a while. Maddie went to sleep in the back floorboard since I had taken the back bench seats out. Robin bought me breakfast at Alli's restaurant. It was strange to be able to still smoke in the restaurant since Arkansas hasn't allowed it in some time. The van did real good on gas and it didn't leak any oil since Oscar put in the new head gasket. I was sure tired after working the shift and making the trip, I dropped Robin and Maddie off in Flippin to where her truck was parked. She was glad to see her truck and thankful for me going and getting her. Still tired from the trip.

Yeah, those airplane terminal seats aren't the most comfortable chairs. She was alone with Maddie and the police would come in and check up on her every once in a while. If you haven't been to Springfield, Missouri lately the air port cut off has changed. You just got to love those double lettered names for roads. Robin bought me breakfast at Alli's restaurant. Maddie slept in the floor in the back since I had taken the back bench seats out. It sure was a good test drive for the van. I checked the oil and it wasn't leaking. I am working a double tonight. People are leaving like rats on a sinking ship. It is going to be almost a whole new staff. Temperature dropped to the twenties last night. sure was a radical change in temperature.

Oscar said tomorrow in the morning we could switch the seats out but the weather needs to be warmer to switch out the back glass. The glue would have to set and it needs to be warm to do that. He is checking on a 85 van just like mine in Clinton that somebody was wanting to sell.

Got the new front seats in. New to me they were out of a 88. $850 on that van near Clinton. I will stick with what I got. Too cold to do windows and I am glad Oscar was willing to change out the seats this morning. Thinking about getting the doors for the van with the crank style handles instead of the push button controls. Less wiring and less to go wrong and pull down the amps on the battery. Kathy left to see her parole officer and Marshall wants me to be in the court room with him at 9 in the morning on Friday for moral support. Then we will get some work done on the new room. Marshall thought that I had forgotten about the new room. Its just been cold and I have spending money on other stuff.

The seats are a lot more comfortable. I need to take the old ones out of the van soon that are just laying there. When it gets warmer weather I plan to sweep some more glass out where the new windshield was put in. they got me on second shift today and then it is back to my regular third shift tomorrow with that extra 3 to 7 shift I signed up for. I hope Marshall does good at his court hearing.
