God, is a very loving God. So to be Godlike why do we try so hard to strip away others innocence? Would God want that. He states that if a wild bushman never knew him or his name then that man would die innocent and go to heaven. He also states that if you are taught false teachings and you truly believe those, then you will not be punished, but the teacher shall.

So why do we as christians go into the jungels and find these innocent people that have lived in peace for decades and bring God and fear to them as a plague? Why do we see others of a different religion and try to convert them again with a plague and fear. Jesus said spread my word, but I think he was talking about the ones that had nothing and where spiritualy broken. Not innocent people who love, live breathe just as we do.

We act like the serpent seducing others into eating the apple. let those remain innocent and let those of other faiths who truly believe follow their God, only the one who started the teaching will be punished not the entire culture.

Love is what faith is about, let innocence remain don't put them in the bondage we face. Would God really want that?

faith comes from hearing and hearing comes from hearing God.

There is love in that, but it is faith that knows it is God talking to the heart.

indeed, for the truth be that love does not define what love be, and access the condition of the heart of another, or this be religion, and anything that touch it, and preach it, is accursed, and bring itself under the law of scriptures, and this no human wish for, but rather to love in peace......peace

it is faith acting on the heart, as the heart of a man be where god and love reside, and then when one has walked blindly on water, then the confirmation of any text be had, and only after walking for so long the waters have taken over up to the very head........peace

I think faith comes from being and experiencing. Not from hearing.

A very good question.

But innocence is also ignorance. A child is innocent. A doe in the forest is innocent. A lion in the bush is innocent. Every living thing (besides humans) are innocent yet their nature is to eat each other.

It is not wrong for a lion to kill a doe because we know that the lion does this for survival.

There are predators among us and we prey on each other.

The objective of human consciousness is to reach for and live with more conscious behaviors. It involves choice. The choice to be kind, and to love.

An "innocent" wild bushman might know no better than to take off his enemies head and put it on a stick because that is the custom of the tribe. He does not know it might be "wrong."

To become conscious of others and considerate of their life and there pain is one of the reasons we are here on earth. To learn to respect others and to learn to love. To learn.

JB

Adam and Eve were said to be "innocent" not knowing good and evil. They were not conscious enough. They were like children. Their original purpose was to breed and create a better race of humans to mix with the primitive population of the earth, but (according to the Bible) ~their creators did not want them to be very conscious. They wanted them to remain innocent children.

But that is not the way life evolves. The true creative source wants and an embodiment with the capacity for god consciousness.

If that's true, then why don't we just die as soon as we've learned that lesson?

It seems like lights should blink "GAME OVER!" or something like that.

The idea that every human being is still totally stupid doesn't say much for the creator.

This is a really big problem with those religions that claim that all men are sinners. Again, it doesn't say much for the creator. Seems to me that if the creator wanted people to have a certain degree of wisdom he would have just given that degree of wisdom to them. It seems ludicious to me to create a bunch of morons and then sit around and complain about them because that's exactly what they are.

When you do learn the lesson of unconditional love you then learn about how to create something worth while. There are more than one lesson to learn about unconditional love, and creation. We are, after all, creators in training.

There are more lessons to learn as we grow. We are individuals and we are living things.

You don't go to school one day and then say: "I've done that, I'm finished now."

It seems like lights should blink "GAME OVER!" or something like that.

The wisdom is available to the individual. But the individual is like a vessel. It cannot contain all the wisdom necessary. It must grow. It is a living thing. You cannot put the entire ocean into a tea cup and you cannot put the wisdom of the creator into a small living creature who is barely conscious of itself.

It seems ludicious to me to create a bunch of morons and then sit around and complain about them because that's exactly what they are.

It is like planting a garden. You place the seed in the ground, and you watch it grow. It is a living thing.

The creators of Adam and Eve were only the gardeners, they were not the prime source of creation. They could only plant the seeds and watch them grow and try their best to help them along.

Well there must be some way to resign or drop out. What if you don't want to be a creator?

I purposefully had no children. It's true that I never married, but that's really beside the point, I had already made up my mind before I even became a teenager that I would no be responsible for creating life. I was fully prepared to adopt children.

My reason for this is really quite simple. First, the world is already way overpopulated IMHO. And secondly, it's not fit to be bringing new life into it because the life that's already here hasn't learned how to be civil yet.

So I'm not interested in becoming a creator. Where's the withdrawal office? I'm in the wrong program. bigsmile

Why even bother bringing Adam and Eve into it if you're going to make up deficient Gods?

May as well fact the fact that the seeds just hatched under a rock.

After all, you're basically suggesting that the creators are not the prime source of creation anyway. Why even bother with imagining such a thing? Where's their creator? Someone somewhere screwed up.

It's no wonder God plays hide and seek. Belushi thinks God is just shy. I think God knows he screwed up big time and has hightailed it outta here so as not to catch the blame. He probably has no idea how naïve Christians are. He could be Satan and they'd still bow down and worship him and make all sorts of excuses for him. They don't care what he's done. As far as their concerned he can do no wrong. I mean, they believe that he told parents to have their unruly children stoned to death and they think that's perfectly fine. It's scary when you stop and think about it. People like that are half the reason I decided against bringing an new life into this world. I'm taking my genes with me when I go.

Abra, I believe that it is very possible that an advanced race of beings engineered a man and a woman.. (Call them Adam and Eve as per legend) with the purpose of upgrading the DNA of the primitive humans evolving on the earth.

The evolving population of earth humans went from primitive to modern... the missing link was never really found. How did that happen?

I think genetic engineers did it. Aliens perhaps, from another planet or another dimension... who knows. Evidence of an advanced civilization is apparent all over the world.

I can't help it if a false religion was created around these events. I am looking at a more reasonable explanation for the accelerated development of civilization and the evolution of humans on earth.

I think the Urantia book paints a more reasonable picture of what happened. Humans evolved from Lemurs many years before the Adam and Eve experiment. Then the DNA of another advanced alien race was used to create Adam and Eve whose purpose was to procreate children to breed with the earth humans.

However it took place, I think that is what happened.

You can resign or drop out anytime you want. You can stop creating music. You can stop writing poems. You can stop doing everything. You can go into a coma if you want. You have free choice to do what ever you want.

But you don't. You continue to create because it is your nature. You write songs, and poems. You create music. You work on your piano. You are a creator.

laugh laugh laugh If you are waiting for a perfect world before you bring children into it, then you should be very interested in learning to be a creator so that you can learn how to create that perfect world you desire.

But all you do is complain about the so-call imperfect world and their creators that have, according to you, botched up the job.

If you think you can do any better, then get busy and stop whining and complaining about what other people have created.

You enjoy their creation don't you? Do you hate the world and your life that much?

You are a creator in denial. LOL laugh laugh laugh

There is no missing link. That's a layman's term, it's not even recognized by modern science today. Creationists cling to that term and will continue to do so for as long as they refuse to accept evolution.

They did botch it up. Don't be making excuses for them. I don't know whether I could do a better job or not, but I can tell you this much, I wouldn't play hide and seek.

And if I were going to make rules with a penalty of death for those who disobey them I'd make it perfectly clear what those rules are without any ambiguity at all.

Also, if I was omniscient, I would weed the garden better. If I'm going to do away with criminals I'd do away with them early on. Not after they've committed horrific atrocities against innocent people.

I would be a better father to humanity for the simple reason that I'd be there for them instead of playing hide and seek.

And if I was going to write a book it would be on how to properly raise children via POSITIVE MENTORING. That would be the number one commandment. Thou shalt mentor they children via LEADERSHIP and setting GOOD EXAMPLES.

Anyone violating that commandment will be incarcerated and made to listen to recordings of all my songs. laugh

That'll teach em! smokin

Oh,... and no smoking either! glasses

And cat owners have to learn how to play the violin!

I just thought I'd tack that one on. You know. Being God and all, I can do whatever I want.

So when's graduation day?

Yeah, but look at what humans believe, and how they behave.

We've made giant leaps forward in technology, but in general we're still just a bunch of apes with toys. laugh

I don't see where there was any major "jump" in terms of evolution.

I think the innocenct way a child views and understands God could be learned from.

innocence prior to corruption.

if we could all as adults still retain some of that innocence...I think God would be happier with us.

That's right. There is no missing link. And of course modern science won't recognize it, because they cannot provide evidence of it. What better way to not have to prove something than to just not recognize it! Brilliant!

But it's not a problem for science. Science already has overwhelming evidence that evolution did indeed occur.

It's only a problem for religions who need to try to force reality to match up with their ancient doctrines. They've already failed miserably at this in the past with their earth-centered universe. You'd think they would have given up by now. But alas, they refuse to let go of the doctrine no matter how inconsistent it is with reality, or even it's own proclamations.

They defend the idea that God told people to stone unruly children, and to murder entire villages of heathens. Obviously they'll defend it to their death no matter what the odds are against it being true. It's funny how that works. It's kind of like those guys who get into an argument, then realize they're wrong, but they keep arguing anyway because they can't admit that they made a mistake.

It would be pretty difficult for religious leaders to actually confess that their doctrines are in far worse shape than the theory of evolution.
