Topic: Driving Directions from MSN | |
---|---|
I had to go to Augusta, GA from a small town in SC. I went to MSN to get directions - that's the last time I will use MSN. I don't mind back roads - The directions took me on a very small dirt road. When I turned onto this rd I thought since it was on MSN that it would be a safe and decent road. Mind you I drive a Ford Focus; this road continued to stay a dirt road, got narrower - so narrow I couldn't turn around - I passed a deer stand and I ended up going thru a creek!!!! My daughter was with me and neither her phone, nor mine had service - this adventure reminded me of a horror movie. Needless to say We survived and I have messaged MSN that I will never use their directions again.

I also use mapquest a lot, but I check the directions when I get them because one time I was trying to go to Detroit, and it was taking me in the opposite direction

I get my directions from mapquest, but then I have an atlas in the car just in case.

always use mapquest.com actually mapquest isn't all it's cracked up to be.....i sent a friend directions to my house from mapquest and it had her going nearly FIFTEEN miles out of the way..........would have be a lot easier and simpler to tell her to take the main highway and what road to turn off (the directions mentioned NOTHING about the main hwy) |

I have used google maps twice to get lost.

they all suck. I sent my friend directions to pick me up in Amherst MA one day. The directions had her going all over, taking the scenic route, when all it took was for her to make one right turn.
