What is the good thing about fwb?
and the bad thing about fwb,
is it possible to fall in love with a fwb?
is it a good idea while in relationship even when not happy?

It doesn't work.. one will eventually start to have feelings for the other (usually the woman towards the man) to only end up heartbroken.. no thank you, I'll pass on the FWB plan! brokenheart

ohwell

I can only speak from my experience they both have pros and cons! No surprise, don't fall if you can help it for a friend with benefits.

1) nothing
2) it sucks, it's shallow and unhealthy
3) Yes, only the man won't be the one falling in love... (almost always) the man won't fall in love with someone who would so easily give it up without love being involved in the first place
4) I don't even understand this question. Huh?

I think she's asking is it okay to have a FWB friend while you're in a relationship and IMO, no, that's not just FWB, that's cheating.

FWB is usually a no-win situation, someone always gets too close, one starts expecting more than the other is prepared to give, and someone gets hurt.

What is the good thing about fwb?
Nothing!

and the bad thing about fwb,
hurt feelings, diseases, it's so high school

is it possible to fall in love with a fwb?
I doubt it, the standard has been set, Friends Only!

is it a good idea while in relationship even when not happy?
no it's cheating, if you are in a committed relationship with someone else

Someone's on the fence and, as a guy, I am obligated to say with regard to FWB:

"YES, what could possibly go wrong?" noway happy

Sometimes people are in situations that they cannot commit to more that FWB's. If it's two single consenting adults, it's their business. Attached consenting adults, it's called a "booty call" (and cheating), but still, their business. IMO.

I have had FWB but never while I was in a relationship.

Let's face it, I am over 50 and haven't been in a relationship for a long time; and who knows when I will ever be in one. I had a chance for a FWB, a man much younger. I figured why not take the chance to have sex at least one more time before I die? So I did. There was no chance of me falling in love with this guy; believe me. It went on for over a year but then he met someone and got married.

I miss those times though. We had fun!

well, I know a lot of people think it's morally wrong yatta yatta yatta but I don't know how much longer I have. Why turn down a chance to have a great time for a while?

hi, i was just asking everyone's opinions on it, people talk about it, i was just curious, it has nothing to do with me. some people told me it's not considered cheating, unless married, i just wanted to hear what others part of it.
